Can anyone tell me about their experiences with Platinums? Pros and cons? I found the trailer I've been searching for to trade in mine on so before I'm blinded by excitement I would love to hear reviews.

I've had two Platinums and loved them both.  I have zero complaints, would buy another in a heart beat!

I used to work for a Platinum dealership. LOVE how these trailers are made. They craftsmanship is superb and I wouldn't hesitate to buy one. Now I live in OKC where they are made and I'm trying to get hired over there since I love their product...

I have a friend that has one.  I just love it and she has had zero problems with it.  Seems to be very well built.

We have had two. The first one was in a really bad jack knife type wreck and was very impressed how it held up. No horses injured which I contribute to how well the trailer was made. Love ours and would not consider anything else.

Pretty hard to fault a platinum. Well worth the money and they hold their value. We have a 2007 4 horse with 11 ft sw and love it .

Can't speak for the horse trailers, but my hubby's family has a stock trailer (no LQ) they use for elk hunting and ZERO complaints on it.

I have never owned one, but have several friends with them.  Very nice trailers.  Well built, quality, great construction.  And they hold their value.  I don't think you can go wrong with the actual brand.  Now being used, just treat it like any other used product, it could have issues and do all your homework

Love ours! We have an 08 4h reverse load with 17' short wall, its a great trailer. We'd love to get a 6h gooseneck, but I can't find one to save my life, so looks like we might go with 4 Star. But If we upgrade or get another LQ it will be a Platinum!

Bought one last year and it is wonderful! High quality in every aspect! We did a ton of research and going through customer complaints and reviews of different trailers, and Platinum was by far the company with the least amount of complaints!

Our daughter had one and it was a great trailer. She got out of horses and sold it and I would have bought it if the toilet and shower had been separate.

I had a bad wreck and rolled a Platinum full of 4 horses, and the pickup at 60 mph.  The trailer rolled twice completely.  Things broke off the top and the windows broke, but the trailer was pretty much intact, except the frame was bent.  The horses made out without a scratch.  Needless to say I replaced it with another.

Thanks everyone! This one is a new 3 horse with a 13' 8 shortwall. We are down sizing from our 4 horse with a 14' shortwall Bison. I hope this works out!

We had one and loved it. Ours was a 4 horse, 10 ft short wall. The welds and structure were great. The only small problem we had, was a some screws would back out and fall. These weren't anything structural, but screws that held ties in the managers and the screws that held the rubber to catch the drop down windows would come out. Otherwise we loved ours. We recently traded it off, and the resell value was great also.

We just upgraded. Looked at several new Platinums-all LQs. The new ones have several issues that I did not like so we went with a competitor.

Such things as the drip edge over the drop windows (extremely sharp edge right at horse head level), stainless steel door handles on drops (will rust over time vs the black cast aluminum), still have the rivets that I don't like (several friends have had to replace several rivets each year), not as heavy hinges on the stock doors, and the step for the LQ ALWAYS needed to be dropped as it kept the LQ door closed unless you dropped the step were the main deal killers for us.

I think they are an extremely well built trailer and they would of had my biz if not for above.

Just my opinion. Good luck!
