Can be a cow line crossed with a barrel or race bred horse... just curious as to what some good cow lines are that have been in the barrel pen.

I've seen several shining spark grand get do well in the barrels.
Nonobadgirl has done really well breeding her Docs Superstar bar mares to make phenomenal barrel horses
Genuine Doc is another good line I've seen.

ETA, check out the pedigrees of these nice babies: http://www.frenchmansquarterhorses.com/ForSale_FQH.htm

Vanilas Whiskey Girl is by Paddys Irish Whiskey, Bring It On Guys is out of a daughter of Paddys Irish Whiskey, and several of the foals on Frenchmans Quarter Horses' website have Paddys Irish Whiskey blood.

There are two Royal Fletch horses in my area that are very nice 1D supershow/rodeo horses. Here's an article BHN did about cow-bred horses succeeding at barrels. http://www.barrelhorsenews.com/articles/rodeo/3553-a-cut-above

I wish I could get my hands on a Highbrow Cat, but all the really nice ones go to the cutting pen. Anyone know of any running barrels?

I thought my stud was awesome....of course that was my opinion.
His sire was Streakin Six and he was out of an own daughter of Genuine Doc which had previously owned by Matlock Rose so she had been cut on.

I'm really big into two eyed jack, jackie bee, peptoboonsmal and high brow cat. I avoid hancock bred horses. I'm breeding my mare to a peptoboonsmal bred stallion on the time side and he goes back to lady bugs moon on the bottom. I'm very excited!!!

You can't go wrong with a good Peptoboonsmal or High Brow Cat ... those lines consistently throw athletic, sound, good feet/legs, and fabulous minds. These horses are showing in many different pens with consistent wins.

My filly is Pepto on the top and Two Eyed Jack on the bottom. Big, smooth, and SOUND with color and a great mind. I'd have a whole barn full.

Both of my horse's are double bred Doc's Prescription and I love them!  They can be a little hot and stubborn but very smart and athletic, good bone and size to them too.  I actually searched for another double Doc's Prescription when I started looking.

I agree 100%!!!! The ones I've ridden, I've fallen in love with. I don't have the $$$ to spend on them since the price tag is normally triple what I can afford LOL.

The stallion is a sorrel, and my mare is a blue roan....I'm hoping I'll get some color!

Just out of curosity, why do you stay away from Hancock bred horses?

Genunine Doc and Docs Superstar Bar horses have proven to be good ones.

When I had a 3 year old hancock bred filly attempt to kill me, and she broke the trainers arm....I've always been leery about them, but I wouldn't pass one by if it was good looking and super broke

Well, I've come over to the dark side....I was one of the Hancock haters, but I bought a gorgeous 3 yr old bay roan that is out of an AWESOME race mare and he is one of the gentlest, smartest, most athletic horses I've ever owned. I just bought him to resell, but I'm liking him so much, I think he may have to stay at the Guinn house for awhile. www.allbreedpedigree.com/rafter+jet+jud
