| My husband owns half interest in a son of Frenchmans Bogie (the buckskin standing in OK). Our stud does not have a strong maternal pedigree mostly unknown ranch stock. He (our horse) is palomino, and has one of the best minds I have ever witnessed of a stud. We put kids on him that dont have riding experience, he is headed off of and used to work cattle. I bred him to my foundation mare and now have a yearling filly that is a grandaughter to Frenchmans Bogie. I am excited to start her later on. Also, I came across a son of Bogie for sale here on BHW a couple months back that was priced pretty high and noted as a 1D money earner.
Below is a pic of my Frenchmans Bodie grandaughter at 7MO

Location: Oklahoma | I have one....would not trade him for the world! Absolutely hands down the best horse I've ever owned (and I've trained and sold quite a few). Running 1d/2d as a five year old. Not broke till he was 3 1/2. I can ride him bridleless anywhere, we go camping on him, barrel race, will eat up a cow..... There's nothing he can't do! And he has the most awesome personality. I actually went to look at him thinking he was by the palomino Frenchman's Boogie...hadn't ever heard of Frenchman's Bogie. Was kind of disappointed at the time but bought him anyway. I'm so glad I did now! I have two friends that have now bought 3 of my Bogie's half siblings because they are so impressed with him and they are doing awesome also. If I had a mare to breed I would pick Frenchman's Bogie over anything else no matter what my budget was. |

Location: OK | I've heard of one that was a bucker, and I've seen one that was sure a bucker. He was also pretty small in the front end and kind of late to fill out up front but he was nice in the rear. Past that, I don't know anything else. |
