Im just posting to find out the responses. I have only had the Ed Wright, Betty Roper, Jerri Man and the Shiloh. Ridden in a Contender.

The Tyson's tree is a little more upright than the Mann's. The Mann's swells seem to be more like a cutting saddle. The Contender's swells are a little too trappy for me personally. My hubby just ordered me another and I love, love it. I got kind of a combo between the Contender and their other one (I think they call it the barrel racer). Have the barrel racer tree, similar to Tyson's, but the shorter skirt w/out the scalloping. I have two Tyson's that I wouldn't part with.

I am not a fan of the contenders overall, the first one I ordered in 2007 fit my horse like a glove, but it was before it was branded as a Jordan Peterson Contender, I had sent wires to Stacy of my horse when he made it though and loved it, my horse actually outgrew it though and traded it for an Ed Wright Shiloh, LOVED that saddle, fit GREAT on most horses, the Jerri Mann has more bar flare than the Ed Wright's do and fit a horse with a decent shoulder very well. I am currently wanting another Ed Wright or Jerri Mann but they are hard to find in anything over a 14".  I ordered a Contender which at this time was a JP Contender, and had it on a 7" gullet (most Shilohs are a 6 3/4 SOME are 6 1/2) and it made my horse buck like crazy, seemed to tight through his barrel and ended up trading it for a Crown C. The new owner had zero issues with it though on her horses.

Thank you. I got one because my horse has to have a 6.5 in gullet with semi bars she's tiny! I don't like the Fqhb flare at all! I really like the Gail Tyson I got because it's semi bars and def a 6.5" gullet.
