I'm considering buying a broodmare by PM to breed to ASOF. Anybody know of any PM horses making a name in the barrel pen? I sure dont....

I dont own a Panther Mountain horse so take my input with a grain of salt but I dont think there are very many of them out there therefor not many in the barrel pen. Since hes been moved to Brazil they are hard to come by. I know there are a couple of BB's that own some own sons and daughters. Hopefully they will have more input :

Our BB Flyingohorses has both an own son & daughter. I have a 6 month old filly that I raised out of her stallion & all I can say is she's incredible. Obviously a few years from doing any competing on her but I know she's crazy athletic, a beautiful mover & very intelligent. I don't think there is a lot of them around with PM being sold to Brazil so it's hard to say how many will end up in the barrel pen. I just know that what I've seen from my filly they're worth owning!

I bought one straight off the track out of an Oak Tree Special daughter...oh wow he was a a pistol and played wayyyy hard. My daughter bought him from me immediately and didnt have him a week when he hurt himself bad cast under a pipe. Finally healed after almost 5 months...for 3 weeks hes been a crazy man playing again and we figured he'd be a handful to ride....but I have to tell you, she saddled him up today for the 1st time in over 4 months, gypped him around a couple times each way and got right on him...trotted, loped and never missed a lead and a perfect gentleman...I'm so impressed and hope he makes her a heck of a horse...very very nice and sweet once saddled and/or haltered. But he sure plays hard and cat quick. Fingers crossed!
