If the rough out starts getting smooth even saddles just,take a steel wire brush to it will make it look brand new. So if you need to put any oil or blackrock on then let it dry and take that steel brush, looks like new. I have a used saddle the the roughout had smooth places in fenders and seat took that wire brush saddle looks like itmhas been hardleymused once i did blackrock. I need to bring my good custom mad saddle in the house and take that wire brush to,it will make,it,look brand new. Black,rock the tooling part. My saddle make told me,how to do this. Rough out is smooth leather that take a wire brush to,smooth leather.
