Location: North Central Kansas | Who's all going? What's your session and number? I would like to be able to watch some bb's. I run:
Friday AM Open #327
Friday PM Bonus #215
Saturday AM Open #276
Unfortunately my mare got an abscess on Sunday so a friend is letting me borrow her horse. I was at least able to make a practice run on Sunday. We are leaving tomorrow! I'm excited to go! This will be my 3rd year going.

Location: Kansas | Friday night open - Cliff 70, Joker 165 & Chance 244, plus my Matt is 103 on his Joker & 174 on Honey the little yellow mare. Saturday morning open - Chance24, Joker 85 & Cliff 196. Matt & his Joker are 136 in the bonus Saturday morning. Saturday night bonus - 94 on Cliff & 173 on Joker, Matt & his mare are 185 Sunday morning bonus - Chance is 177. Matt is in the open #s 134 (Joker) and 197 (Honey). I am hoping we aren't running at the same time. lol.
Glad you found a horse to borrow and got to make a practice run on it! Chance hasn't run since March 15th so I breezed him through a couple times last night to let him feel all the things that shouldn't hurt anymore. Fingers crossed that all of mine hold together for the weekend! I am taking Streak as a backup, so I pushed him for some speed last night in practice, and let's just say if he runs, we won't be really hurrying until after the second barrel! lol. |

Man you are going to be busy! Glad to hear that Change is doing better, maybe you'll win the 1D saddle this year |

| I am going with 6 head...that will be 17 runs, unless I can win a Bonus Round spot for the last horse! I am leaving early in the morning, I will be running in every session starting tomorrow night. Can't wait--the colts have been working well, but it will be the first big show for four of them. |

Wweeeee!!!
Tonight wasn't the final practice runs I had hoped for...so you'll know when I go because someone will be standing on the rail screaming "outside leeeeegggg" at every barrel. But then again we also ran outside for the first time. He's been much more ratey indoors this spring...
That or his new PHT sheet is giving him super powers... |

I'm tired just thinking about your runs! I'm totally psycho and decided at 8:30 to make a pan of carmel rolls. Waiting for them to rise a 2nd time so I can put them in the oven. I'm not sure why I put myself through this. Timber Creek is riding with me with 1 horse. I don't remember for sure what she drew up either. |

I am just so glad he gets to go. For a while I was really wondering if Streak would get thrown to the wolves up there. Not that I think it would rattle him, but he's just not ready for me to go into jockey mode yet. Chance literally has made 5 competition runs this year because we've been trying to get to the root of his problems. At least it has given me time to concentrate on riding Clifford, training Streak and legging Joker back up for the spring.
Matt & I are used to running two horses each at the district NBHAs so we are often cooling two out at the same time between runs. I wound up making a spreadsheet of expected running times for us and several friends so we have a general idea of which runs are close together so we can be prepared.

Packing is what I've been doing it seems like all day. I leave around noon or 1 p.m. tomorrow, then go to Matt's and re-pack with one less horse in my trailer but more hay & travel panels added to the tack room, and who knows what all else we will think of tomorrow. We tried to buy groceries for the LQ last weekend but I'm sure there are things we've forgotten. We are heading to Lincoln Friday morning basically as soon as we can get everything around. With 6 horses and 2 rigs, it may take a while. lol. |

Location: Smack Dab in the Middle | I'm going with 2 horses, and taking a hauling buddy and 1 horse. We're leaving Friday morning, and I feel so not ready! Finally got my trailer all cleaned, inside and out, buckets washed, and most of the horse stuff packed, but nothing for me so far. I did iron a couple shirts last night, about 12:30 am, and washed my PHTs and nylon sheets. My poor washer is gonna be going non-stop this afternoon.
Farrier tried to give me a heart attack, but he's coming this afternoon to reset shoes. Nothing like putting it off til the last minute...
Tonight, I should just have to load my clothes and few snacks, vacuum the pickup, and be good to roll out. Hopefully we will be there about lunch time tomorrow.
