If I wanted to move somewhere with great barrel racing and lots of rodeos, decent temperate climate, and opportunites for high school / college rodeo, where do I go?? would love to hear about all the awesome places to live, looking to make a big change! thank you!

You can't go wrong with Tejas! It seems to me that the closer you are to the Dallas/ Ft. Worth area, the more opportunities you will have. I grew up in that area then moved to east tejas in high school, which hurt me as far as rodeos go. There are still more events to go to there than where I live now in Arkansas, but the Dallas area is the way to go! North Side rodeos every weekend and high school rodeos everywhere. Then you have A&M commerce and College Station. Tarleton is a bit farther away but there are other smaller community colleges that have rodeo teams. The competition is stiffer, so you better get your game face on!! lol

Texas has so much horse stuff.
Next I would look at WA or OR. They have a really strong amateur rodeo circuit
(NPRA
) and another smaller one
(Pro-West
) and in southern WA/northern OR there's a ton of barrels races. Pasco and Walla Walla are big barrel racing cities.
