someone wants to trade me this horse plus cash for a gelding of mine. Basically calling this horse worth $1000. He is a yearling stud colt, solid sorrel. Waiting on conformation pictures. The one I have is really cute but cute doesn't get you far lol.

PS: I do NOT plan on keeping this horse a stud colt. I do NOT believe in breeding anything and everything lol

I'm just curious if its worth putting a little bit of time into to see if he'll be worth anything later.

I don't think I would consider that a $1000 colt. He is "just a colt". I wouldn't even consider it if he wasn't 5 panel tested. And don't forget, unless you do it yourself, or have a friend that does it for free, if your do take him, YOU get to PAY to have him gelded!!!!

I didnt research pedigrees i literally glanced. and I didnt see anything that made me stop and impressed me up close. I mean you can do what you want, but if you're hoping "papers will sell him in the future" I'm not sure they will. Just being honest with what i see. and like the above poster said, you have to pay to geld this horse. and maybe more expense into him.
