Yes, she was next baby born after Duke.

Do you have a picture of her? Long backed, lanky, and high strung aren't the best qualities, but it may be different in pictures. Yes, 7 years old is fine to breed. I'm pretty sure ASNY's owner is a member on here also.

I will try and get better shots tonight of her where you can see her confirmation, she is VERY athletic but yes long and lanky unfortunately, that's why we need something with a short back.... she is hyper but does run a nice pattern.

Here are a few pics... she is stretched out in the one without a saddle so not the best pic, but you can see how long she is

If she were mine, I'd breed her to something more proven. Think Pc Frenchmans Hayday, Frenchmans Fabulous, Slick by design, Blazin Jetolena, Flit to Kill, or First Down French.

Defiantly agree. Worth spending the little extra in stud fee and have a foal that would bring it back to you easily when it hit the ground. If she were mine I'd be very picky about her weak spots for her conformation and be sure to pick something that will strengthen and compliment her.

If she is a full sister to Duke you may want to go with a proven stallion that offspring command well because your foal will probably be very marketable. But that being said I really like ASNY I have one due in about 2 weeks and have two breedings to him so I am a fan. I love his pedigree and he sure is throwing good looking foals. I chose him because out of all the FG sons I have seen his foals look the most like his sires foals IMO. I think his foals have been selling well so far he just doesnt have any of age yet to be proven but I think he should either this year or next maybe ?

I agree with this, Go with Either Dinero, slick, Jetolena, or First down french. I REALLY like first down french, he is VERY well put together and amazing to watch around the barrels, he is proven, his foals are very exceptional looking, and they are bringing good money.

His oldest babies (only 2 of them) are coming three this year and are riding awesome! One is with Kari Dawn Johnson who owned and Trained Jane Melbys First Down Perk and the other is with a roper/barrel racer in MT. They liked how he trained out and matured so well they bred six mares to ASNY in 2013. His babies have a really good resale and are very kind/athletic. As I told you his book is full but there are a few mare owners that might sell their contracts from 2013. It's a shame he broke his hock, we had real high hopes for him as a futurity horse..... should be a great cross on your mare to shorten up her back and calm her down in the resulting foal.

Thanks everyone! I agree with you all I know it might be a better choice to breed to something proven but I really have a feeling about this cross... I LOVE the FG and DTF cross and he's the right color. I need to write the other suggestions down though for future ideas! I think with her confirmation it's a good fit.
