Location: Nebraska | Hot water baths, massage, but what has worked best for me is taking a felt blanket under the comforter and wrapping it around my legs (not tightly). If I've had a long day standing or have been really stressed out my legs get pretty bad. Craziest feeling in the world. Drives me nuts and will keep me up for hours. Mine relax when I can get them warmed up, though. |

Location: Riding Crackhead. | My hubby has RLS. In the past he's got a prescription for it and it did help. He's kinda a weird though and doesn't like taking meds so he doesn't take them any more and just living with it. If he's over tired and had a hard day the RLS is worse. If he gets rest and drinks lots of water it does help. |

| Cider vinegar! Works for mine in less than 15 minutes. I drink about 1/4 cup. (you can mix it with water if you don't like the taste). |

| My grandmother had good luck with putting a bar of Ivory soap in her socks at night. For me I have to drink more water, take a vitamin B , and exercise my calf muscles before bed. |

Location: Sperry, OK | Tonic water. The Quinine in the water helps.. actually my moms doctor told her to go buy Quinine pills at the pharmacy, but they are off the market. Drink a glass every night before bed, and in a night or two they will subside. |

Same with me.....I have RLS terribly. If I have spent the entire day up on my feet walking around, it is horrible at night.

Location: Texas | Magnesium helps. There is also an OTC med called Restful Legs that you can buy. It does help, not completely on really bad nights, but on average restless leg nights it has helped me and my daughter. |

Location: Washington | I get it occasionally and I read somewhere it can be related to diet. Certain foods can trigger it for people.
Mine seems to be sugar..... |

Restful Legs works for me, too. I'm the opposite of everyone else, I have it when I'm actually well rested. If I take a nap on Saturday afternoon, I will have it that night. |

Same with me. I haven't had it for about 6 months because we were busy building a house but prior to that if I don't get enough exercise during a day (riding doesn't count for me) I will have heck to pay at night with jumpy legs. Traveling is a bear because you're stuck in a plane or in a vehicle.
It can drive a person crazy. |

Location: Canada | I developed bad RLS but it was because I was very anemic. We fixed the anemia and it went away.
Not sure if she's been checked for anemia but worth a shot. |

Ropinirole 0.5 mg works great for me & I also take potassium pills. |
