Location: Central Texas | and how is it? I keep seeing the commercial for unlimited talk, text and web for like 40 bucks a month. Which would be less than half of what I pay now. Don't know if it's worth it after you pay for one of the phones though. Do you have good signal when traveling? Just looking for options and opinions. I currently have an iphone through Verizon and I have no complaints other than it's over $100 a month. |

| I have had Straight Talk for 5 or 6 years now. At first there were places where there was no signal. Now, I use it everywhere I go. I believe they use ATT towers, so anywhere ATT works, Straight Talk works. I LOVE my phone! I got a Samsung Discovery (smaller than S4) on Black Friday for $29. Most of their phones are less than $100. You can also bring your own phone, just buy the SIM card for $8 (I think). I pay $45 a month for unlimited talk, text and data. I do FB on my phone a lot. I haven't tried BHW on there yet. Thanks to my ex, I would have had to pay $600 deposit on a plan. Plus, I don't want to pay that much for my phone service, anyway. I'm very happy with my Straight Talk service. I think they should pay me for this advertisement. LOL |

Location: Arizona | Love love love it. Great service everywhere, unlimited talk, text, and data for 45.00 a month. The phone only cost me 100.00 and it is just as good as any other smart phone IMO. I'm all for bargains and this is a great one. |

Can I ask you...after taxes etc...what does the 45 dollar plan actually end up costing? |

It depends. Most of the time you can just put a different SIM card in and it works great. I forget what the stipulations are for that, one of the electronics employees would be able to tell you. They told me I could use my step mom's old iphone. |

My kids and I all use Straighttalk and love it. My 2 kids have Iphones they brought from previous plans and switched them over with a kit from Walmart. I bought a smart phone from Walmart but its a LG. The unlimited for a month is $45 not $40 and with fees and taxes it comes to like $48 or $49. I've had absolutely no complaints and trust me.....my kids crab about everything! so it must be good! |

Location: Wild Wild West | I have virgin mobile. I get 5 hours of talking and unlimited text and internet for $25 a month. Perfect for me. I don't talk that much. I actually text more, since I learned how. |

| I will be the odd one out, I dislike my phone. I had to make sure to get a verizon one, as that is the only service at my home. I got a Hawau or whatever they are. My phone will hang up on people and dial at random after that. Then my internet just drops off. Could just be the phone, never had trouble with the service itself though. The bill cut in half makes up for all my phone does wrong. i spent around 150 for the phone, dont remember exactly as it was a bit ago i got it. I bought the one year plan for i think 495?? so I wont have a bill again until nov :) |

| My daughter has been on it for a couple of years and has had no problems at all, she bought a couple of phones but only because she bought a basic one first and them got a little nicer one. I got it a year ago and bought an LG phone it has been great no problems at all. I live in Montana and have traveled around with it and never had a problem with service. We are on Verizon towers here so works anywhere Verizon is. My husband got his a couple of months ago and the service is fine but his phone doesn't work well and haven't been able to resolve that but for $45 a month works for us. I will never go back to Verizon. |

| My SO had Straight Talk for a long time, and he really liked it for the most part. It wasn't good when we were traveling though, because some areas he would lose service for a long period of time.
I added him to my Sprint plan though, for just $20 more a month. Now I have 2 lines for under $100. |

My son and daughter both brought their iPhones and bought the kit. My daughter did it first and had some trouble getting it to work and made a call to Straight Talk and a stop back at Walmart to the guys in the cell phone dept before she got it working. Ended up that the contents of the kit were mismarked. Once she got that figured out everything was easy. My suggestion is when you decide to do this either call Straight Talk from the get go and tell them what you want to do or take your phone into Walmart and ask the cell phone dept help you. Your other option is find a teenager. |
