So just as a fun topic, if money wasn't an issue for you and being REASONABLE as in not far fetched, what do you feel is the best for your horses?

What types of feed? What hay??? Soft Rides? Back on Track at all times? Hot walker? Massage and Chiro weekly????

What is your ideal for keeping your horse in the best shape possible?

I def want to get a set of soft rides for my two year old and my gelding. I'd also have them chiro'd more regularly (they get seen a few times a year now). Loved acupuncture the time I tried it. Would do that again. I'd love to have a place to swim them regularly too.

I would have a really nice walker for the days that I didnt/wasnt able to ride. I would chiro monthly. I would keep my horses on supplements (higher quality and more routinly). Alfalfa hay. I would probably feed safe choice feed. I would stall mine more ( shavings are so EXPENSIVE and my horses are slobs) or and I would have runs off my stalls so that I didnt worry about them being in a 12X12 all day long.

I would also have soft rides for my older guy to keep him as comfortable as possible. And I would own every PHT magnet you could put on a horse. I feel like magnet therapy has worked well for my horses and I believe in it.

I am sure I could keep going but since I don't have to worry about having this "issue," i will just stick to my current ways and enjoy what I have.

A girl can dream though :)

Chiro and massage for sure.  Like 2x a month at least.
I think I would be great to have a swimming option too.

I am 53, probably older than most of you and at a point where hubby makes a lot of $$ and does not care what I spend.   Mine have soft rides and they get adjusted once a month- guy is cheap 30/ horse and mine do not always need it.   They get alfalfa, renew gold and vitamins and minerals. I alternate pentosan gold and polyglycan about every 2 weeks depending on how often they are going.  I have one set of PHT hock magnets that I put on before a run for about an hour, I take off 1 horse and put on the next.  They all get ice boots after a run.  I have trails on our acreage and I long trot, lope for about 5 miles 2 or 3 times a week.  I have an obstacle course to give them something else to think about.  They are finished and do not see the barrels except at a race.  Now if I could only ride them to their potential.

Ice Wraps, I have had several different brands and these are my favorite.  They stay in place, others will slide down the leg, get stepped on and torn or straps are so long they drive me nuts with the velcro alwyas catching as you are trying to wrap it around.  I ive them on for at least 30 minutes.  I have a Yetti cooler I take them in, they stay nice and frozen till I am ready to use them.

I would send them to live with my chiropractor.

magwave, chiro and acupuncture on the regular. free choice excellent quality hay at all times, I feel like grain isn't as important as excellent roughage. And a saddle maker that can build one for my horses back for all times of year because I sure can't figure it out. An exercise rider/trainer that can do what I apparently cannot lol.
