| Today I was on my last mile of riding and it started blizzarding so bad I got off for safety, and led my horse home.
I needed the exercise.
As soon as I go home, it stopped. |

 Dancing in my Mind
Posts: 3062
Location: Eastern OH but my heart is in WV | Not horse related but I did get to go to NYC last week with my daughter and watch her dance group perform at the Statue of Liberty. What an honor as a mother! I never expected to like the city but we had a blast and getting to see Phantom was the icing on the cake. We had 2nd row seats! It was just a great experience that I got to have with my daughter and my mom
I told everyone, "All I want for Mother's day is time to ride my horse!" So we have a ride planned for tomorrow. It will be myself, my son, daughter and mom. Can't wait |

I AM being nice
Posts: 4396
Location: MD | I have spent the last 2 days on the road, literally. Friday night, I had my assistant and a couple of students in the slack at the Gates, NC SRA and then today, my assistant and Miss Carol were in the 11 AM slack in Augusta, NJ. We left out of Gates at 11:30 last night, got home at 3 AM and pulled out for NJ at 4:30 AM. We got back in at 7 PM this evening. I didn't make a single run all weekend. Not all of the runs went as we might have hoped. Everyone came away from each run acknowledging what needed to be worked on, praising the things that went right and excited for the next opportunity to head up the alleyway. Throughout my sleep deprived weekend, I was once again reminded how blessed my life is that I get to spend it doing what I love, helping others to achieve their goals and that I get to witness firsthand these phenomenal individuals living their dreams. |

Location: Montana | There has been a lot of good things happen lately. God my horse back from the barrel trainer and she is doing great. Since I have to board (I live in town) a friend of mine let me keep my horse closer to town at least for the summer so I only have about a 16 mile round trip drive to go riding instead of 50 mile round trip. And I've been able to ride about twice a week. I always wish it was more, but I can't seem to coordinated weather and work, LOL. So, I'm pretty happy right now. :)
What's the best thing that has happened to you lately? |

Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | I'm feeling pretty lucky with it almost being time to close on our home and we've had pretty good weather to ride! I actually got to ride today and not have to battle something like the wind, the rain or cold. It was perfect out. |

Location: Texas | This wasn't really recently, but one year ago today I met the man who became my best friend and is now my husband. After two months of being in denial (I was in denial, husband had a pretty good idea already), we found out that we were pregnant. Now I am 33 weeks pregnant with our daughter who should be here around June 30th. I am so helplessly in love and blessed beyond words with my husband and our daughter. |

Location: Blissfully happy Giants fan!!! | Life in general. God has blessed me with such an amazing life and I thank Him for that everyday. I can't complain about anything nor would I care to for how great my life is.
A few things: my new analyst is here and in the midst of training so that part of my job is going to be handed to her (thank God!!). And my boss just told me they are getting me a loan administrator which would the virtually eliminate 98% of all of the things I need to do in the office, which gives me virtual freedom to just go get deals. That freedom is so liberating I can't even begin to explain it.
My little mare is finally on the path back to where she was. She had surgery in November with a chance of never recovering. Well she did and then healed a torn hammy. In the first month she has been back she has shaved a second off of her time and really is starting to find her sea legs again. And she still is the luckiest horse I have ever owned. She wins money almost everywhere we go. It's crazy.
And Salty girl just keeps me smiling. The girl is a rock star and just keeps getting better. We are having a great year.
And the most important part is my husband. He is my rock and my everything. He makes me laugh and is so very supportive. I thought about entering this one race and I asked him to be honest if he thought I could do it. He told me I needed to barrel race and to get on it. I ask for anything and he is supportive about it. I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. And I love him with everything in me.

Β That's happened to you lately?
Right now, it's taking 0.6 seconds off my time in a little under a month. Nothing impressive, but I'm pretty happy with it. We have a solid pattern down, now just to speed things up a bit. |
