| I'm born and raised in Wyoming. I've been in south, now west,Texas for 4 years. I have until this point managed to avoid most crazy Texas girl habits, until yesterday. Yesterday, I rode three head on the barrel pattern and down the road...wait for it...in my pajama pants.
And I liked it.
I was ten times more cool (temp was 98), ventilated, and just overall more comfortable. Still can't believe it...y'all are rubbing off on me!! |

| I'm in Iowa and I ride in shorts when it's hot in the summer time.
Edited to add : I could give a hoot less what people think about it.

Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa. | I'm in Iowa and I ride in yoga pants and when it's really hot I just ride in shorts and lay a towel over the saddle because I don't like the feel of the saddle on my bare legs. And I do this all the time. Some days I don't even get out of my pajamas to ride. Once I rode by the in-laws house in my fuzzy PJ pants and boots on. The only time I actually put jeans on is when I'm at a race. So it's not crazy texan there, it's more of a redneck kinda thing with the pants. |

| When I was a kid I put jean shorts on under my chaps at the pleasure shows. 100 times cooler than jeans and chaps.
When the speed classes were after the last class, I'd start undressing by taking my chaps off because I'd have to hurry and put jeans on. Like I said...I don't care what others think. I was much cooler than they were! |

Location: Texas | I've been riding in sweats or yoga pants since my c-section in February. My hubby is from Wyoming and has made fun of me. Personally, I don't care who sees me doing this is my pasture. Didn't realize it was a Texas thing. But hey, when in Rome... |

I think it's more of a southern thing. |

Location: Heart of Texas | I love riding in my sweatpants. And i live in my mud boots. If i'm not gunna ride, i'm in mud boots. And you can't beat sweatpants when your bloated and miserable. It's the only way i'm able to ride sometimes. |

| Jeans... All this talk of riding in anything else is making my legs itch and break out... But maybe I'm just weird like that. I'm okay with having ghost white legs all summer.. |

If I'm working late in the evening, I'm riding in my scrubs. A lot of times it's straight from the Jeep to the barn and then when I'm done I go inside. I get the strangest looks from all the neighbors. They have an "idea" of what a horse person should look like. And leave it to me to go by my own rules, and I'm not even from the South or Texas!! |

| ooooo pj's I haven't tried! I'm a super fan of riding in my UA running tights - they hit just below my knee so I can grip nicely if needed and they vent the heat away because they are designed for running and sweaty exercise!
High fives to being comfy!! |

| I have had some Texas friends try to lead me to this, worried about my well being, but...I'm afraid it was pure laziness. Was all sweat pants-ed up and happy with my movie inside, went out to feed, got the craving to ride, and was too lazy to go change. The result: a convert. No chaffing, no rubbing, and very very much cooler! Had to laugh at myself for resisting all those years. :) |
