I know I haven't been on here much in a couple of months. I've had several members get in touch with me this afternoon to check on me, so I thought I would fill in the gaps. A tornado hit my home and farm this afternoon at a few minutes after 4:00. We had one come thru in April 2006 that literally leveled my home, and operation. This one was not nearly as intense. I lost my shop completely, the roof of my horse barn, most of my working pens, and the house is still very much livable. I doubt we will be able to live in it while it's being repaired. I was home when it hit, but thankfully my wife and children were not. I feel the same way about this one, as did the last one. I'm glad nobody was injured. The rest is sticks, and stones. All replaceable.

Oh gosh that is terrible! I know here in WY I take it for granted that we have few storms that will really cause any issues. The Oct blizzard was one, but we were on just the tip of it. I can't imagine what it would be like to live where there are tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes...
So glad everyone is OK.  Prayers for you and your family

I'm so sorry.
My parents lost their home to a tornado in the late 70's. I so agree with replacing things but you sure can't replace lifes.
Hugs to you..

I guess having already been thru one, kinda takes the shock value out of this one. I just can't believe I've been hit twice. The last one leveled everything. I'm guessing this one did between 80 and $100,000 damage.

We know people that have been hit twice. Very scary.

I'm glad you are okay.  When the tornado hit our house on a Christmas Eve, my children were home I was not.  I had the same attitude you do, no one was hurt.  The rest of the stuff is just stuff.

Prayers for you in the coming days as you start your cleanup.

A school bus went down the road about 5 minutes before the tornado hit. Somehow in the midst of the excitement I thought to praise God that it had already been thru. It looked like it had 35-40 kids on it. I guess the Lord watches over fools and children, because we all made it fine.

And this testimony is an example of how even in a horrible situation one can still look at the positve! How awsome that you are still looking at the bright side of this. Glad no one was hurt and prayers to you! what a hard situation!
