Location: Durango CO | What surprise me the most was that the horses that fell just stayed down. The natural gut reaction for a horse is to get up or try to and they just stayed down. Even the horse that was only down on the front end, in what looked like an awkward position, stayed put until he was assisted. |

If it makes you feel any better, they're all okay (: Every horse gets up and walks off and from what I heard none of them were hurt. |

Thats what she tolded me too that they were all ok, she said it was so scary, that she was thinking that some of them would be really hurt, but they all stayed so calm and when their handlers got to them they all listen and trusted them. But I'm a chicken to watch the video.

It would have been terrifying to witness in person. One time at a rodeo just a two-team of Belgians almost had an accident. One of them spooked and somehow ended up tangled up in everything but once he realized he was stuck he just stopped and stood there, but I for sure thought I was about to witness something horrific. |

Location: Texas | I watched the video and you do gasp..and like some one else stated above the announcer kept the crowd calm...
IMO the driver caused the incident by getting them in to tight of a circle...causing one to trip and causing the tounge to snap.
So grateful that all horses were not injured and yes they were so quite in the complete 6 minute of trying to get them un-hitched. |

I'm not sure how I would keep him looking so maginificent. I'd probably need to hire a care giver for him too....but, man, I sure would enjoy prancing around in parade after parade.....I might even take him around the barrels a few times. |

Location: Bandera, TX | I was there when this happened. It was an absolute miracle the way this played out.. The wood from the tongues splintered and could have impaled a horse. One of the most scary and amazing things I have ever witnessed. I have a new found respect for these horses and their trainers. They performed again the next night. |

Location: South Dakota | It was very emotional to watch...so thankful for a good outcome... Such awesome horses, and it just plain hurt to see them go down....I think the driver messed up...but I am sure that is something that he won't allow to happen again... Also thought that Bob Tallman and Hadley Barrett did a very good job of handling a tough situation....the happy ending certainly helped! |

When they have the 6 horse hitch classes at our county fair, you see the folks riding them around the fairgrounds in halters bareback, ponying the others in the mornings. There is a Clyde at my barn who is a total sweetie. I wish more was done with him- he's basically just a lawn mower right now. |
