Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | If no added money then yes that's way to high IMO. There's no way I could make that hauling all my horses because that would be $200 I'm entry fees. Only time I will pay that much is if there's a lot of added money. |

Location: California | For Southern California that's almost the lowest you will find! Any races with added money are $75 plus a $10 office/grounds fee and that's for anywhere between $1000-$3000 added. If the $50 is for a series and there are no other fees I would assume some of that is being held for the series awards. |

Location: East Texas | Sorry...just had to be a smart ass on a Friday afternoon. Anyway, I looked at the type events that you describe here on the events page and most in my area (East Texas) were $30-$40. |

I wouldn't pay $50 unless there was a few grand added.
That doesn't include fundraisers or benefits though. They have their own 'rules'.

| Depends... If you're paying $50 entry fee with no/low office hold out and no garbage fees then I think it's reasonable but if you are paying $50 entry fee with 30% office hold out, arena fees, office fees and late fees...you are better off staying home. I support a higher entry fee with no added money if its 90-100% payback- |

| I know which jackpot you are talking about.
If you think it is too high, don't go.
This series has a free year lease on a nice gooseneck, free parking, ground is good, not the nicest warm up, but a lot better then some.
Edited to add 2 jackpots per day so you save in fuel too

Location: Riding Crackhead. | From what Cheryl described it sounds like it might be worth it if you're going to do the series for a chance at those great prizes. It also depends on how far I have to drive. Around here its nothing to drive 100 miles to a run with no added money just to get some runs in. If it was close and I didn't have to spend a buttload on fuel....yes I'd pay $50. |
