Well played, PRCA. http://prorodeo.com/news-display/2014/05/19/ram-national-circuit-finals-rodeo-moving-to-osceola-county |

Yes, but for how many years did those on the east coast have to travel all the way to Idaho for the finals. OKC was still a long haul for some of them too. No matter where it's held, some will have to haul a longer ways to get to it. |

Thumbs up for more money! We were in Guthrie this year and the lady that kept her horse where we did took 3 days from California to Guthrie. I would really feel for those hauling from the west coast. It is just hard for those who work to take that much time for traveling. |

I am going to guess you are talking about my friend Ann that made it. We are good friends and I board my horses at her house. She is not used to traveling much outside of California. I told her about the Finals being moved to Florida and asked her how she felt about that drive. She laughed. She said she is getting used to hauling more now that she's done it this year. She said a 6 hr drive used to seem far, but now it's not really. She just took so long to get to Guthrie because she had the time to do so. Her job allows for her rodeo schedule to not conflict. |

I didn't say I was against it. I just said the others would have to travel more that didn't live on the East Coast.

Yes, they were very nice and it was great to see her do so well. Roughly for us from Pueblo, CO to Kissimee would be about 1,800 miles and 2,500 from LA to Kissimee. I guess it would be a good problem to have and it is great that they are adding money, especially the $1,000 per contestant stipend (or whatever they call it)! I sure hope they can sell some tickets in Florida, Guthrie was pretty light. ;-) Hopefully a trip to the land of mouse ears will be in our near future! |

| Didn't they have it at the OKC fairgrounds for a couple of years? Then Guthrie this year? I live in Ok and I never saw one commercial advertising the thing. |
