It's not my fault I'm perfect

Location: Where the long tails flow, ND | Looking for input on what everyone is feeding for overall wellness. I know this is talked to death but want to ask anyways :)
I have a mare with allergies so have to be careful but I want to use something that will work as well.
I did use the search option but some of the answers were outdated so looking for recent users of products.
Thanks in advance!

Location: Sunny So Cal | THE! My horse with allergies I had based off of her CBC and Chemistry Panel. It's great because you can always alter depending on the times of year. And it is a complete supplement. I'm a happy THE customer. |

| I have been very happy with Platinum in the past for an overall supplement, but my mare won't it it now.
I will mention since you said your mare has allergies as mine does too, I was referred to Horse Hair Analysis. I've heard several good things about this company, and am waiting to hear the analysis on my horse. They recommend a custom supplement based on what they find, so I think I will give that a shot. I believe I read in an interview in BHN that it was Jordan Peterson who also uses this company. May be worth looking into, and I'll be happy to share my experience in a few weeks. |

The problem with that is it is a win/win for the company. I know this was discussed on here before. Some believe in it and some don't. If it is an honest deal GREAT, otherwise any company similar can tell you what is wrong and then sell you something. I think it is like the computer cleaning programs. They scan your computer for free, tell you what all is wrong with it and for just $49.95 they will clean up all these terrible, malware etc. I take it to a professional and he says there isn't a thing wrong. Just becareful what you get talked in to. |

| Loved what Equipride did but I'm also loving THE Muscle Mass right now. I can't believe how good my horse looks this year. He has only been on THE Muscle Mass for 1 month and he looks fantastic. |

Thank you for the warning and your opinion on it. To each their own, but I personally have heard good things about them and am willing to give it a try on a problem horse for me. I've had numerous vet visits, tried various supplements, etc and have not had my issues solved. So I am willing to give this a try and do not feel like I am getting talked into anything. Once I get the analysis back, I'll go from there and see what is the next course I plan to take with her, whether that be trying their supplements or not. Just my take on it though... |

I was directed to Platinum from my vet but wanted to hear everyone's experiences. I have also been looking into Animal Element Detox due to the fact it doesnt have any of my mares allergens in it but am not real familiar with it.
My mare is currently on allergy shots based off of her allergy test, so the hair test would be voided at this point, I thought about it before I started the shots but decided to order them instead.

| Ive got 2 on Platinum. So far so good. Havent been on it very long so its tough to say itsmade a huge ddifference yet. They looked pretty good before. Another horse I have which was a rescue has been on equipride. Hes picked up a good amount but hes realky not liking to eat the equipride anymore. Ive ordered THE Muscle Mass for him to try ... looking forward to seeing if it helps him fill out where hes lacking. If I am happy with what it does for him i'll probably switch my other two to the MM as well. |

Would the allergy test results still play a factor in how THE was formulated since the horse is actually getting them in their shots now? It all makes my head spin but I dont have her on anything at the moment and am exploring my options which seem to be limited!

I hope it works for you, I really do. I just remember a discussion that got pretty heated on here about it. If hair could tell allergies (this is just a question, not digging at you) why can't they do that for human allergies vs the million different shots they give to see what reacts? Our BHW resident Dr had some good points too as to why he was skeptical. I haven't talked to anyone personally that has tried it, so I really have no idea the details of it. Would be a nice concept though, for those with allergies. |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | I have used Dr. DePaulo with Horse Hair Analysis for 3 of my horses. He is not pushy about his products at all and I've had nothing but good results. 2 of my horses that were tested showed to be fine on the results and he said they did not need anything extra from him. One of my horses was way out of whack, as shown in his results. I purchased the personalized supplement from him and he is a changed horse. I attribute the 1 out of 3 needing extra supplements because I had just bought him and he was not on "My" usual feeding program like my other 2 that were fine. I have heard of some others who claim to do this analysis in other states that are frauds though. But in my opinion, the program I used was great. |

I went the Platinum route because of my vet also. I've had great results and I don't feed near what the bucket suggests. |

It all makes my head spin but I dont have her on anything at the moment and am exploring my options which seem to be limited! No my horse is not on allergy shots and has never gotten any. The allergy test is only good for THE to show you what your horse is allergic to anything that it eats. Because they use natural ingredients like flax seed, soy, etc.. if your horse it allergic then they won't put it in. My horse has environmental allergies. So the formula worked fantastic. I did have to have him add more allergy stuff to it for the second bag because it didn't clear it up completely but they gave it to me for free. Nice to work with a company that stands behind their product. I felt bad because he felt bad it didn't fix my horse 100% the first time. But the second formula did. Now my horse has no hives, or wierd swelling and oozing. I get her blood pulled and tested every 3 months and I can see how much is has changed for the good. I'm so impressed with his formula. It didn't just fix her allergies, but also no more inflammation, anemia, or electrolyte problem. sorry for the novel
