| Spend money on a quality trailer (Elite or Platinum would be my choice.) They hold up well for years. Everyone I know who has tried to save money and go with an "off-brand" always regrets it. The cheaper trailers are cheaper for a reason. |

| I love my Cimarron, great quality trailer. It has a lot of features that in my opinion puts it way above a platinum. |

| I have a 96 Sooner-bought it used in 2003 and have had few problems. It's always out in the weather, has never leaked, pulls great, have had only minor problems with the wiring, all the doors, windows, etc work fine. I have one hinge on the saddle compartment door that's been cracked for years that needs to be replaced. It has three hinges and the middle one is cracked, so keep forgetting to have it replaced. The rubber molding around the fender wells have shrunk so they don't fit totally on the fenders, but they're still on the trailer. I had to stop very abruptly one time to avoid rear ending someone and the trailer brakes kept me from hitting the car in front of me. It was a case of jerking steering wheel to the right and slamming on brakes. Up until then I could never tell the brakes worked-they do! |

Location: Central Montana | We have a 2000 Featherlite with a weekender that we have had for about 5 years now and we absolutely loved it. Would have bought another in a heartbeat if we could have found what we were looking for in one.
We just upgraded to a little big bigger (2 foot longer) but a few years older Sundowner. Haven't hauled with the Sundowner yet so I don't know how we are going to like it and haven't listed the Featherlite for sale yet....just in case

Location: North MS | I was advised that many dealers would not accept Exiss brands in on trades for upgrade trailers. Has to be a reason for this reasoning and they do appear to be the most reasonably priced for newer models. However all the ones I found were not quite what I was looking for (window bars removed in favor of screens only- I could just see one of my horses attempting to exit via stage left lol, or the living quarters were just not made the right way). I kept looking and looking until I found the perfect for me trailer. A kieferbuilt trailer advertised "AS IS" due to them not wanting to make several minor repairs. Those minor repairs were nothing at all to accomplish and now only two wires stand between me and re-charging my generator battery. No problem at all just as soon as I get some time!
One of my friends has a trails west brand that is nice as well and if you can swing it, a new Lakota is AWESOME! |

Location: Ohio | My last trailers have been Sundowners and I wasn't really impressed. Both were used and I never had any major issues but I have seen better trailers for the same price. I used to haul with a friend that had a Shadow Stablemate 3 horse slant and I loved that trailer. She bought it new in 2009 and has yet to have any issues with it (and she is not easy on trailers! lol). The living quarters has seen lots of use and still looks new and everything works perfectly. I love the horse compartment as well. The first stall in my Sundowners always seems to be a scrambler stall for anything over 15 hh but we could put a 16.2 hh in the Shadow with no problems. It pulled really well and I could even pull it with my beefed up 1/2 ton when needed. I have never heard anything bad about these trailers but I never really looked in to reviews either. Great entry level living quarter trailer!

| Older 4star. Mines a '99 ( looks brand new with an acid wash) Paid $12,5 for is about 10 yrs ago and it's one of the better trailers I've ever had. I could have went new but chose this trailer because of how well it was built. Never had a problem out of this trailer |
