| Nice picture but I would hate to be the one trying to soften that horses mouth up for a second career. |

She came to the trainer who has her now a flat run away, she had been blown up something terrible. That exercise rider has actually made a lot of progress with her. She also hadn't been to the track in 2 days when I took these(weather and moving from Lexington back here), shes not always *this* bad. But I do agree with you... I think shes going to be a broodmare when retired, but if they do decide to ride her it will take a lot to get her settled down. Its just her nature and she was with a trainer prior to the one who has her now who thought she needed to work(breeze) 2 times a week or more when most trainers do it once a week or less. Shes a lot less goofy than she use to be.
Kathie I will check when I get home, my camera is still set from this day, just cant remember off the top of my head :)

We have two like that now, both were given to us, way better than they were but will flat out run off on thier bad days. Both very talented, athletic and gritty fillies but neither one will have a career other than broodie when they are done running. The thought of having to pull one of them up in a short dark alley gives me the heebie jeebies, lol.
Thanks for the awesome pics, you are so talented! |
