Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | This may seem minor to some people but it's really bothering me because idk what I should do. To make a long story short go back about 4 months my best friend and I have been dying to go see Florida Georgia Line in concert but they were always way off. Well we found out they are going to be within a hour and half from us. We stayed up all night to get tickets before they sold out. Now fast forward to this past weekend. A young girl(age 14) that's Ive know for years and watched her grow up made it to the high school rodeo state finals. Her good horse has been battling EPM so all that left her with is a young horse that's no where near ready. So I offered her my good horse to use. They click very well. She's been laying down some very nice practice runs. I won't post details but you can message me if you want them but girl that's using my horse came way to close to no longer being with us back in October due to being bullied at school. It was brought to my attention yesterday that the concert and the rodeo are the same day. There's no way I can do both. So that puts me in a bad position. And I'm just not real sure what I need to do. Part of me says sell my ticket to the concert but then the other part says that's something we both wanted to do and now we have the chance. Help me please figure out what I should do. No matter what I do it's going to hurt someone. |

Location: on my horse | Does the girl need you to be there with her? If so I would forgo the concert and help that girl out. If she can haul your horse alone then I would have a conversation with her and see how attached she is to you being at the event with her and go from there. If it means the world to her then IMO I would go to the rodeo.
ETA: Your friend is an adult and I'm sure that if you explained the situation to her she would support your decision either way.

Tough spot to be in for sure. |

| I am a huge Florida Georgia Line fan... so believe me when I say I understand. However, I would go to the rodeo. Florida Georgia Line is a big band and they're only getting started. You will have more opporunities to see them.
So with that girl and support her, from the way you worded her situation, it sounds like she needs someone on her side. |

She's in a completly different place now than she was then. First time she ran him he bucked all the way to the 1st barrel because I forgot to take her back girth off and he absolutely hates them. She thought that was the most halirious thing ever. She's always been so bubbly and always smiling and has a very contagious laughter that's why we were all so shocked when she did what she did. For days no one even knew why she did it. I sat with her parents and brother several days at the hospital crying and praying for a miracle and finally got one. When she got to laughing like she did when he bucked it seriously made me tear up just hearing her like that. I was laying in bed and got to think about that and it made it pretty clear what I should do. |

This, I agree it is a tough spot, honoring what you agreed upon with the girl is more important than the concert. You are a very nice and kind person and I bet you have helped that girl in more ways than you can even imagine. |

Location: Where I am happiest | Take your horse and the girl to the rodeo. Your friend can invite someone else to go with her to the concert and they can buy your ticket. There really is no contest in the "right" thing to do. |

| I really can't see how a concert compares to a life. The girl NEEDS something to look forward to and enjoy, and there will be other concerts. If you explain the situation to your friend, I'm sure she would understand. |

If she is any kind of friend at all she would completely understand once she knows the whole story. |

I completely understand. I'm not arguing that by any means. I answer short and sweet so I guess I should have explained further. Yes if she is any kind of a friend she'll totally understand. I was just stating that there is the chance she wont understand and she might get miffed. If it were me I'd go with the girl to the rodeo. |
