| I found mine at Dillard's Dept. Store. Great selection. |

Location: stray dump capital of the world | My son got married this past April. I went to David's Bridal and tried on 2 dresses. The first was at the knees and dressy, while the second was a sleeveless layered evening gown, with sequence on the top and a see through cover (for a lack of a better way to describe it). I went with the bling and it was gorgeous. The wedding colors were yellow and gray and the dress I picked matched the tuxedos perfectly. I went to Dillard's but the selection here was terrible. |

Location: MN | Kind of like the idea of some bling. This will be a spring wedding and I have no idea on the rules of what color to wear beside not to match the bridesmaids color, their color is pink and silver. Would going either a lavender, pale blue or a lite yellow be a no no?

Location: MN | So does my dress have to go with the colors of the wedding? Do I have to have pink or silver in the dress? |

Location: ND--it snows, it floods, it snows, it floods | My mom bought hers off the sales rack at JC Pennys for $30 and I was with her when she picked it out. She asked if it was okay and I said yep...it looked good and was a dark purple as my colors were a lighter purple and silver. I would ask your future DIL (if you have a good relationship with her) to go with you or ask what her mom is wearing so you aren't wearing something similar. I'm guessing a darker pink if that's your thing would work. What do the flowers look like? Maybe see if she has a accent color other then the pink or silver in the flowers and go with that. |

Wear whatever color you want. There are no rules anymore. |

I would be a terrible mother of the groom. I like to dress up and look killer. |

Location: In The Land of Cotton | I say ask the bride. If she doesn't like you, you did the right thing. You will want to know what her mother is wearing so that you don't wear the same color. However, if you don't feel comfortable doing that. Just go to a nice store, and they will have someone there to guide you. No need to just wear beige unless it looks good on you.
Me, I will be the evil step mother to the groom in March. I can't wait. Nordstroms and Christain Louboutin shoes will do for me. (While I sit quietly), all with my husband's permission. |

Location: stray dump capital of the world | My daughter in law told me to wear what I wanted. I went with the gray simply because I loved the longer dress and the bling, but I also had gray on the brain. I would have loved to wear yellow since that was the other color in their wedding, but I was too afraid to. The shell that covered was shear, so the bling showed through. Her mother chose to go with a beige dress. It really didn't matter to my daughter in law. I really detest having my picture taken, but here we are, the husband and I, all dressed up. The first time in my life I have ever had an updo. haha! The bling doesn't show that much here, but you get the drift.

This is going to be a interesting. I will be seeing my future daughter in law tomorrow. We didn't have a great beginning so things are a little bit tense between us. |

I am very fortunate. My daughter in law and I get along really well. She is very easy going and we have a great relationship. I don't like wearing dresses either. Sending you some positive thoughts for tomorrow. |
