| I have an ultrasound appointment Thursday to get my horses leg looked at but everyone that has seen it says middle bowed tendon. If you look at her leg compared to pictures online or bowed tendons there exactly the same. My question is has anyone dealt with this and there horse come back 100% to racing? So far she's been in her stall or I made a 12 x12 stall outside too for her. 6am I hose and wrap with green cool jelly. At 10 I hose and put ice on for 20 mins. At noon if hose and wrap with green cool jelly again. At 4 I hose and use poultice wrap and bute her... |

| Do not sweat the leg until all heat is out. Do you have access to a laser or Theraplate? Also get some Runners Relief Poultice . |

| Does the leg still have heat? If it does don't sweat until the heat is gone. Ice the leg. Then sweat after you feel no more heat. |

| My mare just bowed, a very small bow, my vet gave me three options, split the tendon very old and archaic but effective, bone marrow in the tendon, or stem cells, I went with stem cells.
Mine was 2 days post, the first day I iced it and poulticed it with sore no more clay. 1 day post you couldn't see the bow.
My vet said you have to get the blood and swelling out as fast as you can as the blood and swelling is what tears the tendon apart. |

yep and I always have some on hand ready to ship out. Here is a copy/paste for some info on it Benefits: NutraWOUND is a nutritional supplement formulated to support the equine body's ability to heal itself. It is most useful for connective tissue repair & support, abscesses, post surgery support and bone repair. NutraWOUND provides the proper nutritional precursors for rapid healing of wounds, which require adequate blood supply to the injured areas as well as production of collagen, a protein crucial to the repairing and rebuilding of connective tissue. |

I pulled my gluteus medius last week and I can't walk without pain unless I have nutrawound in me. I just empty the glucosamine capsules and fill with my horses nutrwound and within 40 minutes I can walk without pain. I know they make human stuff but I didn't have any so I just steal from my horse.. I am rehabbing with it. I can't do the stretches or exercises without it. i knew this stuff was awesome when a horse bowed a tendon and I double dosed her twice a day; If I skipped a dose she would blow up but when I dosed her she could walk comfortably and the swelling was gone. She was still on stall rest but she got around better. I will never be without nutrawound, nitroxide, and gastroplus. I have helped quite a few horses with colic episodes with gastroplus also |
