| I just put my sundress on that had been laying on my bathroom floor... (It fell off the towel rack) I walked into the livingroom and felt something on my shoulder. I'm not afraid of spiders so wasn' real concerned... Until I looked.... I had a "SCORPION" walking on my shoulder!!! I start yelling for my son Travis to HURRY!!! Hurrry!! He slapped it off, NOW we can't find it. Thankfully I wasn't stung. |

We moved into our new house at the end of Feb. and I have killed at least 20 of them in the house. They won't kill you but the sting HURTS! I have just made a habit out of checking close and shoes before putting them on. They like cool, dark areas. Unfortunately I have found the majority of them in our bathroom. I was stung many times as a kid and I certainly don't want to relive those memories! |

I live in the middle of Oklahoma... between OKC and Tulsa... BUT I live on a beach with NO water... Meaning I live on a sand hill... I was once told that trantula's will keep scorpions away... But I think they like each other because I have them here also. |

You have so many because of the disturbed ground when they poured your foundation. We had the same problem. Go and get some Bengal Roach Spray. You spray it around your baseboards. Take your animals and yourself out while spraying and give it about an hour before coming back in. Works great. Then there is a spray we used around the house that works well also. We still get one here and there but we really look for them when it's going to rain. For whatever reason, that is when we find them. |

We always check our towels and our shower curtain.
I was sitting in my chair and felt something and lucky enough I had a pair of relaxed jeans on. I grabbed the material on my pants and carefully took my pants off and sure enough, it was a grandpa scorpion. I've gotten bitten a few times and I can't believe how long and how bad the sting is. I have to take Benedryl right away. Glad you weren't stung. |

This is VERY interesting information NTO. I am going to get some of this stuff. They do seem to come out more when rain is present. Hmmm??? |

I have never seen a tarantula around here but I think I would actually think that would be kinda cool. We do have wolf spiders that are the size of a small dog! |

They definitely do. I found one on our shower curtain yesterday and we got rain in the early evening.
The one that works good outside is called Pestabs. You use a hand sprayer and spray it on the ground around your house going about a half a foot to a foot out. We get it at our local feed store or you can buy it online.
Walmarts carry the Bengal Roach Spray. It runs about $18.00 for a big can and is worth every penny. |

I went to feed this morning and put my muck boots on and a whole family of wasps attacked my foot. I've never felt so glad to murder a creature in my life. |
