Location: Stuck in a cubicle having tropical thoughts | I haven't gotten to watch any of the live stream and I can't seem to find any videos on youttube but I see in the results that Brittany (Pozzi) is dominating so far. I'm just curous which horse she is riding.
On a side note, anybody know when Duke might be back on the road again? |

Location: Stuck in a cubicle having tropical thoughts | Wow! That is impressive. I knew that mare was fast but very impressed she's running and winning in the rodeo environment already. Brittany must really trust her.
I wish the NFR and BFA didn't have to overlap dates. I'd love to see Britt run her own futurity horses at the BFA. If Britt qualifies for the NFR this year, wonder what she'll do since that mare is running so well. I'd love to spend a day following her around, knowing her thoughts and strategies. |

| Just read on a link on facebook that Brittany's more seasoned horses were too sore to run at Calgary, so she saddled up and rode this mare.........how awesome for her~ |

I wonder if Calgary is drug testing again this year. |

I'd imagine so. One would think they would definitely test at Houston and Calgary, JMO. |

| If Mona keeps this up, she’ll be back on Brittany Pozzi’s good side.
With her more experienced — and more reliable — rides too sore to compete this week at the Calgary Stampede, the bubbly barrel-racer from Victoria, Texas, is saddling up a four-year-old mare she raised on her own.
“We’ve had quite a bit of a love-hate relationship,” Pozzi said. “She stepped on my finger and cut it off last year. She’s won quite a bit this year, but mostly just on the futurities.”
Turns out, she brought her winning ways to Calgary.
Pozzi and Mona completed Saturday’s spin at Stampede Park in 17.69 seconds, the fastest clocking on Day 2 of barrel-racing action at the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.
Mona also carried Pozzi to a third-place performance Friday, and they’re now sitting atop the aggregate standings with a two-day tally of $9,000.
“My heart was about to jump out of my chest (Saturday) because I was thinking, ‘You know, she did well yesterday. There’s no way she can do it twice in a row,’ ” Pozzi said.
“But she did. This win is so sweet because of all the blood, sweat and lots of tears. It makes it even more special.”

Which horse is her brother? I'm not sure. I would assume it's Nick O Dynamite. She said it was Mona's brother and that he was a Dr. Nick Bar (which is what the dam is).

FB said she is running Nick O Dynamite.
I also read that Calgary was Mona's FIRST rodeo performance ever! That is so impressive to me that she is doing that well at that huge of an event. |

I remember that she won the slot race on her, that mare has quite a bit of futurity earnings, but it's still a whole different atmosphere going from a barrel race to a rodeo, especially a rodeo the size of Calgary! |

Brittany's training and Mona's mind was sure tested and passed with flying colors. |

I had the pleasure of watching her run at the Ft Smith Finals... she didn't win first, but they were so impressive to watch in person. Hope they continue to do so well! |
