Expert Posts: 2685	Ok so I don't know if anyone noticed I am purchasing my first gooseneck trailer. I do have a small miff about that deal, I have found several really nice steel trailers in my price range that I could really dress up into something nice but being steel they have worse resale, deteriorate faster and are heavy (I have a 3/4 ton Sierra 4X4 gas) and I have found a few pretty nice aluminum trailers that are kinda fancy that I could manage to buy but are so fancy that they are too heavy for my truck (4H w/ small LQ usually) what I cannot seem to find is a trailer in the middle in my price range! I just want a 3H slant that has a good enough sized dressing room that I can dress it up enough to weekend in it. I have been scratching my head on one side and pulling my hair out on the other lol Ok now that's over....lol I have found a few neat ideas that I wanted to share and kinda get some input, maybe new ideas. 1. Cowboy shower: http://mrtruck.com/cowboy-shower.htm cheapest, coolest way I have found. What do y'all think? 2. someone bought a coat closet (2'X 2' wide and 7' tall) at a bargain store and just stuck it in their trailer and it looks like it was built in. I thought that was a neat idea in stead of spending the $ to build one. 3. for really small short walls you can put a sink in the corner (short wall side) and put a cabinet above it that overlaps onto the foot part of your gooseneck bed. 4. for lack of storage with small dressing rooms hang homemade shoe-wrack type fabric up to put your house-hold goods in. I will try to attach pictures because I can't explain worth poop and add more as I go. If anyone wants to add anything feel free! Extreme Veteran Posts: 507 Location: Lost in the corn of Iowa.	What about a steel frame/aluminum skin trailer. I used to own a Bison and when put on the scale with a Kiefer Built of the exact same size we were 600 lbs lighter. The prices are in the middle between the all steel or all alumnum trailer. And I have a Kiefer Built now that has a cowbow shower built in the first stall. I just hang my shower stuff off the first divider and pull out my shower head when I need it.

Elite Veteran Posts: 684 Location: Oklahoma	I just bought a new GN trailer (my third trailer i've purchased myself). My advice to you, don't let money burn a hole in your pocket! There are constantly new trailers coming up for sale, so don't settle for something thats not perfect, or that you can't make perfect, for you. If you're not finding what you're looking for, expand your search area. A good trailer for a good price is worth a little road trip. If you're worried about weight issues, and you're wanting to put a lot into the dressing area, you may want to look at the aluminum trailers. I went with a steel trailer, because I just prefer them a little more. It has a nice tack/dressing room in it, but because I was trying to stay well under the max weight my smaller truck can handle, I went for a stock combo.
