What are your favorite barrel races to attend each year? As in big ones like Diamonds And Dirt or the Las Vegas Super Show? Why?

I always liked the Summer Shootout in OKC when I was younger.  Haven't been in about 8 years, so I'll see if I still like it this year.

The BBR finals look like a ton of fun, but have only been as a spectator.

I used to love the Drysdales NBHA Super Show more than anything, but I no longer exists.

I have attended the bonus race finals all 3 years and really enjoy going. I already have 1 qualifier for next year. I would like to make it down to the BBR finals or the shootout somwtime. Maybe next year when I'm out college.

As far as what I've personally run in...BBR Finals, Jud Little's, and the Mega.  I'd like to run in Diamonds & Dirt someday...

ANHA, Diamonds and Dirt,  just joined BBR so planning on some races at Glrnrose.  Really looking forward to the Tx/Ok finals held in conjunction with one of the American qualifiers.

If you can you should go to the sale at the ranch on Saturday...whether you're buying or not, it's worth going just to see the place. :)  I'm not going to get to run this year, but I'm hoping to be able to go and watch/cheer on my friends.

Love Win$More races and love BBR finals.  Elite was really nice this weekend, too. The ground and the running of the show was fabulous.

Love Elite. Would have went this weekend but my sister got married. I will for sure be there in November. Martha puts on great races in Marshall-it is close so we go to most of those. Entering ANHA for the first imminence this year so looking forward to that. Whoever put the race on at the Ike in West Monroe over Memorial Day I was super impressed and will go again. Same thing for the Running WJ benefit race in Texarkana. I have been told the D&G's are really good and I want to go to one...one day. I also would like to go to BBR finals, Jud Little and the Shootout in Oklahoma. I haven't done those yet. I also want to go to the Mega as well as a WrapN3. Don't think I will head back to Diamonds and Dirt. CC5D's I like but are way too overpriced for what you get. I like the Glen Rose races but I usually can go somewhere else for more money/less entry fee around when those are going so I never end up going. And after this post I am reminded of why I love Texas so much and am grateful I don't live in Cali anymore!!

Any of the D & Gs - ALWAYS have the BEST ground! I just haven't hauled much due to work and the price of fuel.

If I have a LQ trailer by then I will for sure stay and see the place... I bet it's amazing!
Just hard to justify two nights of hotel rooms for a day of not running... but it helps that they're all BBR approved, so I'll probably do it!

Runnin WJ Benefit Barrel Race in Texarkana. The money raised goes to a therapeutic riding school for handicapped kids. The community really comes out to support the race. Barrel setters are volunteers from various organizations. They have items donated for a silent auction to raise money. There are numerous vendors there. They have a "tack" walk" with even more donated items. Each entrant receives a goody bag with various items in it. Prizes are given out randomly by the announcer-three hit barrels, answering trivia questions, etc. The dirt is great, they have a covered warm up arena (with Big ASS fans) and there is plenty of parking space on dirt or grass. On Saturday several of the kids who receive therapy come out to exhibit their skills.

Want to go to the one in Vegas more than anything in the world but it never seems to work out. I've been to BBR and Summer Shootout and even though I had rotten luck at them, I liked them.
