What is a good feed? I am just feeding a run of the mill feed and want to feed something better. Can you tell me about Purina Strategy?

I feed it because it was convenient.  It was "okay".  Switched to BlueBonnet Intensify Omega Force and not looking back.  I feed less so it winds up being cheaper even though it's more expensive per bag compared to the Strategy.  My gelding looks amazing and so I'm happy with it.

I just buy a basic grain from a feed store it just has oats, sunflower seed and a tiny bit of corn... I only feed 3 lbs of it a day per horse and then add on their grain 1 cup rice bran, 1/8 cup lysine, 1/2 cup flaxseed and Forco! I started it about 3 mos ago after feeding Ultium and not being super impressed with it. It is WAY cheaper to do it this way and I know exactly what I'm feeding. A knowledgeable friend of mine recommended this and I'm a believer. I've been getting comments about how great they look. I only spend about $60 per month per horse.

I started on ADM a month or more ago. I couldn't be more pleased. Nothing gets over 2#'s a day. They are on either the SeniorGLO or PrimeGLO

Healthy edge, it has so much good stuff in it, I only feed a little flaxseed and alfalfa with it and my horse is a hard keeper.. We had been mixing it with oats and once we started on this feed routine I took him off weight builder.. He is a happy horse :)

Feed Strategy Edge, much better feed, you feed less of it than regular strategy and our horses do so much better on Edge then they ever did on plain Strategy and big savings in $$.

Any body have a super hard keeper on strategy healthy edge ? I knows geared more towards easier keepers . I believe it does way better than strategy through & it's supposed to be the "performance feed " .. Was just curious to see it hard keepers did ok on the healthy edge .. I feed beet pulp as well to the hard keepers . Was wanting to maybe try it to save some money but still feed a decent feed .. Just afraid they will lose weight & I can't have that :/

Purina Country Acres is the best feed ever! It is reasonably priced, just bc a feed is expensive or cheap doesn't determine how good it is.
These are three year olds that have been on Country Acres.

I feed the original Strategy to all of mine because they keep it in supply and I can feed it to everyone. All but my old horse is getting 3.8 pounds per day. I have had some feet issues with one of them --adding kelp for that-- but the rest are fine. They all get flax/rice bran. I noticed better energy in my barrel horse but he's not uncontrollably hot.

I have fed just the 10% all grain local mill mix and had really good results on most of mine. BUT I did add flax seed, rice bran and some alfalfa cubes with it.

My old horse is on the Stragegy as well but he gets Chaffhaye with his... here's what he gets - http://qheventer.wordpress.com/2014/05/26/old-horses-hard-keepers/
