| Oh WOW! It's a huge area and the HISTORY is amazing. I find something new to hit up and experience every time I head south. If you have never been, choose one city and explore the heck out of it!
Good Luck! |

Location: Hill Country of TEXAS!! | New braunsfels and Gruene. Both are great and you can go to Tejas Rodeo in Bulverde to watch and eat at the steak house on the grounds and hang out after the rodeo for a live band and dancing. These 3 are very close together and give you a wide variety of fun options. Float the river, shop and eat in Gruene, go to the original Schlitterbaun water park ( SO FUN! and its a HUGE park) visit historial sites, enjoy a peaceful day, etc. Like i said this area is full of great options! |

Location: Texas | Waco is not super exciting so I would either go to San Antonio or up to ft worth. There is a lot more to do I. Either of those places. But if you set on Waco. Ft worth is only like 90 minutes north and San Antonio is about 3 hours south if that. Have fun! |

Location: Paradise , tx | San Antonio is nice and the river walk is really nice. Another good one is Paladuro (sp) Canon, Its really neat, sometimes just a little coller than here and they have a great live show "Texas" I would recommend it. |

Location: Canada | Awesome, thanks for the replies, lots to chew on now! I was also leaning towards Ft Worth as well, because I spent a few weeks near there this past winter. Can't get enough of Texas I'll tell you that much lol The people are fantastic and I just might hook on the horse trailer too in case I see a lovely barrel prospect hehe Or heck I will just make a permanent move and stay |

San Antonio, New Braunfels, Schlitterbaun, Fredricksburg all great. Fort Worth-The Stockyards, Amon Carter Museum, Cowgirl Hall of Fame. ACM and CHF within walking distance of each other next to the Will Rogers Coliseum where they hold Fort Worth Fat Stock Show and Rodeo. ACM is loaded with western art-paintings, statues, etc. They have a Saturday night rodeo at the Stockyards (I think it's still going on). Lots of eating places, western stores, etc at the Stockyards-plus you need to tour the Stockyards Exchange? Building itself. Lots of history there. |

Location: North Dakota | San Antonio is beautiful! The Alamo and the River Walk! You have NASA in Houston, great music scene in Austin. And Dallas has the Mesquite Rodeo and the Fortworth Stockyards and rodeo! I suggest you do a little research online because Texas is spread out and different from area to area! You have to drive to all the attractions here, no subway and the public buses and trains are not safe period! |

I've never been on a tour through Texas... But from what I've heard and read, San Antonino is the place for me...
ETA: I love float trips too..
