| Oh, I am so sorry! It is tough enough to lose one but to lose her in such a terrible and senseless way just adds to the grief. Hugs. Any idea who shot her?

Thanks for all the kind words, hubby called the Sheriff and a deputy did come out to write up a report, theres not anything we can do because we live out in the country and lots of open land and lots of gun happy people all around us, so we cant say who did it, we have lots of pochers out here so no telling her shot her. So I wanted a report on this so just in case something does come up. Poor old thing she was going so good for her age and then this happens. This must have happen last night. |

You know there was not much damage at all just a hole where the bullet went in and where it came out is where the bone peices were. I didnt want to look cause I thought that she must have got hung up in the fence somewhere when I saw the blood by the water tank, didnt want to see the mess but took a tiny peek at her leg and saw no damage like what I would have thought , just the hole on either side. So then I took a harder look and saw what i thought and called hubby and deputy and they saw and told me that she was shot.. her tibia area was all swelled up, call vet to ask question and he said all the damage was on the inside. Thats why it had swelled the way it did, the bone was shatter. |
