It is such a shame that he couldn't beat the depression. So sad. |

| The article I read said death by asphyxiation suspected suicide...meaning he hung himself? So hard to believe and so sad. Apparently he struggled with both depression and substance abuse throughout his life. So often we hear this with comedians which makes me think of the song, "Tears of a Clown." Often the biggest smiles come from those that are hurting the most. RIP Robin. |

Location: CTX | Such a loss. I actually had the honor of meeting him while I was deployed. And he was such a nice, down to earth and friendly person. He truly was interested in us. We were having a late diner in the defac, and he was there too, he sad down with us and we talked for about 20 mins. I remember a friend getting a phone call from our base back home and he told the other guy, "you never believe who is sitting at our table" well of course he didn't believe it, so Robin grabbed the phone and started talking to the guy. We had to email pics and only after he saw those he believed he talked to Robin. Later that evening Robin performed on stage for the troops. Totally awesome! The world got a little darker in my opinion with his passing. RIP Robin, hopefully you now have the peace and quiet you longed for.

Location: Bastrop, Texas | I still can't get over it....hasn't quite sunk in. It's hard to think of a more tragic loss, at least in recent years, when it comes to celebrities. So many great works. He just could spontaneously make people laugh at almost anything. He was fantastic in movies like Good Morning VietNam and Ms Doubtfire. Gosh, what about Good Will Hunting? Now I just want to sit down and watch his movies. |

| This hits hard. I wonder what it must be like to spend so much time being someone else and people ask you constantly about roles that you played that weren't you. I wonder if he just wanted someone to care about him and not the fame. Okay, I'm rambling but the sheer magnitude of sadness it must take in order to do this, overwhelms me. RIP...I pray you found peace. |
