| What is the best age gap between kids? I have a 14 month old and would like to have one more but I'm uncertain as to how far they should be apart. |

Location: Eastern OH but my heart is in WV | My kids are 4 and if I had to do it again, I would have them a little closer together. My brother and I were 3 years apart and I think that was just about right. |

Location: TN | My brother, sister, and I are each 2 years apart. 2 years seems to be the perfect year difference where you are close enough to be super bonded as friends and siblings. I'm the oldest and my brother is the youngest and while we've always been close (except for the teenage years when I thought I was too cool and he was an irritating little preteen brother lol) being 4 years apart we've had a more big sister/little brother relationship while my sister and I have always been more equals (she and my brother were the same way as they were 2 years apart also). It's all evened out now that we're all adults, but I would want to have my future kids closer together - even if it would be exhausting having two little ones at the same time lol. My friends with siblings 4 or more years older also seemed to "grow up" faster because they were around more mature things at younger ages from their much older siblings. |

Location: ohio-in my own little world with pretty ponies :) | I think about 2 years is a good amount. My closest sibling is 6 years and the rest are even older. I hated it. Didn't get to really be close with them bc of it |

Location: North Dakota | I have four. The first three are 2 1/2 years apart which is perfect!! They are close and the perfect age to play together and have the same interests. However our fourth is just a few weeks old so he is nearly 8 years younger then the youngest of the other three! They love him though but they will be in college and high school when he starts kindergarten! So now is the time to have another if you want them close! |

| Twins!!! That is what I wanted... so I only had to go thru it once... Of course, that didn't happen.. My eldest was big enough to be twins... 12 pounds and 2 feet long... I always thought 2 babies 6 pounds each would of been just fine... LOL... but I wanted my kids close enough that they could be friends. I thank GOD they are each others best friends. 21 months apart. |

Location: North Dakota | My sister and I are 5 years apart. My mom loved the gap because when we were younger I was old enough to help her out, but my sis and I wish we were closer in age, because we are SO close and wished we could have gone to school together, go out together, etc. |

My sister and I are 4 years apart and never was it an issue for us. We have been close our whole lives and ended up being best friends. She did graduate HS a year early and did her first year of college with me when I was a senior--that was pretty cool. We grew up isolated on the farm, much as my kids are doing now, so we kinda didn't have a choice but to spend a lot of time together, which fostered a strong bond. |

Location: Pacific Northwest | My brother and I aren't very far apart...I was born May 12, 1989 and he was August 4, 1990. May not work for everyone, but we grew up close and had the same group of friends, I thought it was a lot of fun. When we were younger everyone thought we were twins. |

| Obviously, like said before, you can't plan it but I'm a twin and it's the closest bond you could ever get! We're inseparable <3 |

| My sons are 4 1/2 years apart (wasn't planned that way I lost a baby between the two) and when they were young it was nice because my oldest helped me a lot with the baby. But now at 13 and 9 they fight constantly. I'm not sure if its the age difference or not but I would think they might be closer if they were closer in age. I hope they outgrow this quickly because they are going to be grounded till 18 at the rate they are going. |

Location: Gainesville, TX | We we are all about 5 to 5.5 years apart. That being said, I have a twin sister. We were twenty minutes apart. That's the greatest. However, I have never developed super close relationships with my two younger brothers because of the distance, especially the youngest as he's almost 11 years younger than me. |

Location: MI | I have 4 and they are all around 2 years apart. The closest are 19 months (oldest 2), the biggest gap (between 2 and 3) is about 32 months. 3 and 4 are 25 months apart. I like the spacing, they all get along pretty well, until the boy (#3) stirs them up, lol. Youngest is just a week shy of 3 months old and so far it's going well. They play together very well and have learned good negotiating and people skills, having to do it day in and day out. :) They were all potty trained before the next one came, and that really did help I think. |
