Okay, so I know this is BARREL HORSE world. But I didn't wanna go on ropinghorseworld.com and make another account to ask them; anyone have an opinion for what rope I should get? Obviously a calf rope since it's breakaway... But brand, ect.

Your question is almost like a 'what barrel saddle is best' except for ropers. lol  My granddaughters rope I don't think they even use the same type of rope.

ummmmmm yeah sooooooo .... it totally depends on what feel, weight, and kind (poly/grass) you preferr.

What have you been practicing with? Do you like a loop with alot of feel to it or something that is a little more stiff for your style of roping. Seriously, it is not a one rope fits all kinda sport. Are you new to this and starting out or have you been in the game a while and just feeling out what other people like?

It really is an open ended question ....

My favorite rope is the King ropes... They are a little thicker and heavier and have a great feel to them. I have also used the Callaway ropes and they seem to have a little more snap to them.

Pick up every rope you can, there will be one that "suits" you :-)

My favorite head rope swings its self for me, but turns into a rats nest for my husband (I say its because im a better roper ;-) )

if you are just starting, brand doesn't matter much.  you'll need to wear out a rope or two roping the dummy or haybale.  The more you rope, you can start developing your own preferences.

I would start with a 10.0 poly...3 or 4 strand doesn't matter now.  Just get one and get to roping that dummy.

I use Willard and love them...they feel great even after a muddy rodeo (I think that they feel the best after they get covered in mud and rinsed off and dry for a day)

It is all a personal preferance...you just need to go to a store that has several brands to choose from and swing them until you find one that fits you...some people like grass ropes, some like polys, some like the syn-grass mixes...all up to you the roper!

I used the 10.0 Iron Silk from Fast Back Ropes.(It comes in 4 different diameters) Its a little stiffer than some ropes but while still being soft. I never did like the ropes that are extremely soft, I always felt like I was swinging a wet noodle around when I tried them out. Whenever I ordered new ones I would always cut 5-6 feet off of the end before I even swung it. That allowed me to have just enough rope to have 1 coil and enough slack in it so that I wouldn't accidentally break it off of my horn.
But when it comes down to it pick a rope that feels good to you. You will know it when you swing it.

Yeah, i know it depends alot on personal preference...
I was just asking out of curiosity of what other people like to use..
Yes, i am just starting i have a rope i got from my boyfriend that i just use at home to rope the dummy and learn with.. just thinking ahead for when i purchase a new rope.

I heel - I have two different ropes that depending on the day I rope, they feel different to me...  Sometimes I don't like either one of
them, perhaps I should buy another heel rope so I can 3 to choose from....
