Location: Bastrop, Texas | I have a football sized wasp nest full of nasty mean ass red wasps. Both Carol and I have been nailed by these buggers. I've dumped two big cans of wasp spray (one was the foaming stuff) and all it did was pis$ them off and make them bigger and meaner. I've been told Dawn dish soap and water will work. Any other suggestions?
Im on a mission! |

Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas | Sounds like Hornets that you guys have, I use RealKill its for Hornets and Wasp's. I always the soak the heck out of them then I pull the nest down with a rock rack. Dont leave the nest up. I have the spray in every building I have out here and also keep cans on my gator and goft car. I have Wrasp and hornets really bad out here and got to keep the spray handy.

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | Wasps have been so bad around here this year, that my hubby went to 7 stores in 2 towns and came up with 2 cans yesterday. He hits them just after dark when they're all on the nest and sprays until all are dead. |

Location: Texas | Dish detergent and water does work. Just mix in a glass and throw it on the nest usually after dark when they return to the nest. My husband uses it for wasp nests on the AC units but if they are aggressive I would rather use the spray that you can shoot from a distance. |

Location: Texas | Brake cleaner works wonders. It dries them out and they fall out of the nest dead. Then you can destroy the nest. |

Brake cleaner and a pressure washer to knock the nest down is our go to fix . Had a huge problems with nests this summer . |

Location: Bastrop, Texas | Thanks everyone. My next move is the Dawn dish soap and water. I read that the soap gets on their wings and they can't fly. My luck they will just jump down and run after me and sting my feet or crawl up my pant legs and sting my ass. This is a vicious bunch. |

Better keep your running shoes on while trying to kill off the wasp's. |

I was attacked by a yellowjacket last summer. Now there's a sting that will make you unhappy for a few days.
