I just got a new saddle beacuse my old one didn't fit my horse correctly. The new saddle fits really well but still think I'm getting too much pressure on the shoulders.

Horse has been off of work/riding for over a year, so had loss all muscle tone/top line. Has a hollowed out spot on each side of the withers.

Looking into getting a bio-fit pad. Any opinons on them ?

I bought one back in Feb with the fleece underneath and I love it!! As my mare has gotten older she has began losing her top-line and really helps to relieve any pressure on the shoulder and wither area like you mentioned. I'd buy another one in a heart beat.

Thank you ! :)
That's what I'm hoping it will help with... he used to be so round, now he's slimmed down and the saddle just is not fitting perfect.

I seen they have a new model out with removable shims too.

Wasn't sure to go with the fleece bottom or the other one...

I used to ride with their contourpedic pad and loved it but I'm thinking I need a little more built up.

Hello I suggest getting a CSI PAD for your horse. It will help the sore back and help your saddle fit better. I love my wide crown c saddles and I match them up with CSI Pads because they are the best! I had a mare with a chronic sore back from saddles she was bad bad bad with a switch to CSI PADS AND crown c saddles I no longer battle those issue. You can see information on the pads at my website below. Everyone who orders from me a CSI Saddle Pad this order gets free shipping ($35 value) they are $350.00 each. New liners are $150.00 each psh. If you are near Weatherford, Tx pick up or I can meet at a barrel race. For more information or to order pm me or text me 530-310-3337.

Please don't comment below they go unseen thanks

Do you have an ad on the site if not this is against the rules.

Also to add I am a CSI lover, but you shoving CSI down everyone's throats on every saddle pad post so you can sell them makes me never want to buy another.

Your wording is identical on each post too, please quit.

LOL I agree there are plenty of local dealers... and they sell them at some feed stores.. not hard to find. ETA I had a bio fit for an older horse I had and it did fall apart relatively quick considering less than a year and I hardly rode in it.

I purchased one a few years ago and I love it. I use it on a older mare that has lost her topline and she loves it. I noticed a immediate difference once I started using it. I would recommend to anyone

If you decide to get a biofit pad make sure you get the bigger size 30x30 as most saddles in my experience would hang over the pad.

If the saddle has too much pressure in that area a built up part may cause even more pressure.

I used the biofit for a saddle that needed shimming.

You might want to look at the Clinton anderson PRS pad as these have a hollowed out part to relieve the pressure

The csi pad may be stiff enough to bridge the atrophy and disperse the weight of the pressure, but my first choice is to get a saddle to fit the horse properly and shim if needed till the horse gets the muscle tone back
