Location: Florida | Bev's Equine - Bleeders Answer. I have tried everything out there, litteraly. Pre packaged and customs made RX herbals and sups. I have a bad bleeder with IAD, Allergies and EIPH. He is 20 years old and this is the only thing that has even remotely helped. He just feels so much better. I have ordered some of her other products for my other horses. I am doing the Bleeders answer with allergy formula in it. |

| Keep in mind that horses tend to bleed in an environment that has a high temperature and a high humidity when your horse is running. If you really want to stop the bleeding then you should stop running for one month so that your horses capillaries in the lungs get a chance to heal. No matter what supplement that you purchase your horse will have a better chance of not bleeding if you give the supplement a chance to work. I know that you all want to run every weekend but if you don't want to use Lasix then if you live or compete in that environment then stop for at least one month. This advice may not be what you want to hear but that is why the majority of supplements wont work. Give the supplement time to work before you compete. |

I think i'm going to try this for my colt that has seasonal allergies. Do you dose it like they say, twice daily? |

I give my BAD BAD bleeder (who is 16.1 & 1300 lbs) 10cc 3x a day for the fist week then 10cc 2x a day (at least 15 min before I feed, 30 min if I can). With herbals/homeopathics that is so important. My other who has allergies and weve tossed around the idea of mild bleeding due to dust/dry air she is getting the 5cc 2x a day recomended dose.

| Oxygen Bleeder Stop and Oxy2 supplements have worked well for my daughter's good mare. We were able to get her off of Lasix and run her on the Oxygen products. |

Location: Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace | They are not a waste of money. The fact of the matter is that not all horses will respond to any drug or supplement the same way. Some horses respond well, some don't respond at all. But most of the OTC supplements on the market now can still benefit most horses even if it doesn't stop bleeding.
There is way more to treating a bleeder then just a supplement. Like Bob said, time off to heal from a bleed is important. Along with changes in diet, stabling, exercise, etc etc. Always best to confer with your vet to know exactly what your horse needs.
I have successfully used Bleed Block by Equidite but much prefer THE Pulmon-EZE. 90 plus degree temps last time out and still ran 5th out of 222 entries and no lasix (our humidity has been on the lower side) |

| Look into Nutra Cell Labs. I had one that bled then we gave a month off and started this CK bleeders Aide while he was off. We still give it and also the Breathe Ease product. Along with managing his feeding schedule when he is to be ran we haven't seen any blood. Seems to work. I did not want to do Lasix. Again as Bob said...time off! Pays off in the long run! |

Location: DALLAS, TX | My bleeder is a silent bleeder and caused him to end up with a triple bacterial/ fungal infection. We almost lost him. I tried a few, lung aid helped with symptoms but I still kept him on LASIX. I now do what my vet recommends. He gets dex morning of and lasix before our run. Followed by electrolyte paste and all the water he wants post run. It's a low dose of dex but it lowers the amount of LASIX I have to give him. Cost effective and he runs great. I tried vent and he was crazy! |
