I couldn't believe my ears when I watched a few minutes of Morning Joe on MSNBC this morning. Joe, a former Republican Congressman, contends the world would be a safer place if Saddam Hussein were alive...that Iraq wouldn't have evolved into the safehaven it is today for ISIS. Plainly he missed the pictures of the Kurdish village Saddam unleashed chemical weapons on. I saw them. People and animals laying dead everywhere. A mother laying in a doorway holding her dead infant. |

| I feel like I'm watching a really bad movie with terrible actors. This country's focus is so out of whack. Is there any doubt in anyone's minds what should be done about this? |

 Obama DO something.Â
What do you expect Obozo to do? Forbid the journalists from going or pay to get these people back? Those idiots in ISIS don't seem to understand the caliber of martyrs they are creating every time they do something like this. The press never forgets and they can do much to sway opinion around the world. |

A powerful leader can strike fear into the hearts of their enemies i.e. JKF and the Cuban blockade. A weak leader gives them forward momentum.

You can't be serious... JFK threatened world annihilation via nuclear holocaust. ISIS wants to reestablish the long-expired Caliphate, making this a Muslim problem. Let the 1.6 billion Muslims deal with it. None of our business. |

None of our business? The ultimate goal of this bunch is to annihilate the "Big satan". It most certainly is our business, as much as we'd like for it not to be. JFK didn't exactly "threaten" world annihilation, in the sense that he was beating the war drums. He said that world annihilation might well be the consequence of all-out nuclear war. It wasn't a threat...it was a statement of fact. He had to take a very hard, resolute position with an enemy that only respected strength. He said that any missile launched at the US or any of our western allies would be regarded as a direct attack by the Soviet Union and would call for a full retaliatory response. He looked them in the eye, and they blinked. Kennedy fully understood our adversary. Any thing less than a resolute stance might well have resulted in all out nuclear war. He really was a great president. |

JFK was dealing with a nation state (USSR)... ISIS is no such thing. They want to set up a caliphate to rule all Muslims everywhere.. Anything we do will just be seen as outside interference and influence by infidels and will be unwelcome after they attain their goals. Did you learn nothing from our treatment after we helped the Mujaheddin expel the USSR from Afghanistan? |

The Mujahadin were not our enemies at the time. In fact, they were adversaries against our Cold War ally, the Soviet Union. Big difference. |

It's not a domestic affair. It is an international affair involving the entire Middle East, especially Syria and Iraq, but if their dream of a caliphate becomes reality, you can rest assured they will turn their focus on the western world. What do you think they intend to do about the "big Satan"?
Just like Bin Laden warned us he was coming after us and made no distinction between military and civilian targets, these people have warned us. If you don't believe they are a threat to the world, then I have a bridge in Brooklyn I'd love to sell you real cheap. Judging from the way they slaughtered all those Christian-Arabs and Kurds, do you seriously think they will leave us alone under any circumstances?
They need to be hunted down and vaporized. |

Exactly. Enough of this bullsh!t. We have no choice in the matter. They are calling our bluff......time to awaken the sleeping giant and start taking them out, one at a time, if necessary. Screw the UN. Screw Putin...just go about our business and do what we have to do sooner or later anyway. This is crystal clear...not even remotely nuanced. |

In case you have not been paying attention. The Muslims in the Middle East want to deal with their own problems.... I say let them!! If they lose all control then we can step in again IF they want help. If you and Rodeomom want to kill them so bad... Grab your guns and get over there!! |

| Saying what we might be thinking. How do we know there are only mexicans crossing? They are so similiar in appearance. Who can say what is coming across. I wish we could close the lid tight. At least until this fiasco passes. |
