Location: In the land of peanuts and cotton | Has anyone got buck stitching on there saddle? I'm having a saddle made and I'm thinking about using buck stitching. I love the looks of it on halters and stuff but not sure if I will like it on a saddle. If your saddle has it can you post a pic please. I tried to google it but didn't have much luck. |

| Oh! You need to go to Pinterest and search for buckstitch! Tons of photos and Double J has the most awesome buckstitch saddle EVER! It's a Pozzi. I'd kill for it! So glad it's finally coming back in STYLE again. |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | I had a buckstitched saddle when I was a kid. The buckstitch started to wear out in different spots. |

Like STPG said...It's a style that is now making a comeback. I used to make hand tooled belts and at that time having your name on the back was popular along with the buckstitching. |

Might have to copy and paste into a browser.
My daughter's new saddle. If I did buckstitching I would try not to put it where there are contact points such at where your leg fits on the saddle. Hers is already showing signs of wear plus the white is rather blue from her jeans. |

That's exactly what I'm worried about. It will show signs of wear really fast and it will show dirt really bad or just look dirty. |
