how many "old breeding" bred studs are still around? As an example, today i found a SON of Mr Charge Bar, i truly didnt think there were any left. Or like Si Dude, one of the last sons of Rocket Wrangler still standing at stud. I also recently found a son of Lad leo (who is by Leo). It makes me wonder how many of these "old breeding" bred studs are still out there, there just hidden.

I had an opportunity to buy a son of Royal Three Charge but i decided not too.
to me he was some nice old time foundation running lines.
There are not too many left, They're getting up in age.

They certainly are. I wonder if there are any studs around anymore that have catawambus bars up close. I think someone needs to create a website that is specifically for "old breeding" bred studs at stud, can someone do that please lol.

Do share about the Charger bar stud and the Lad Leo! Foundation racing type horses are very hard to find because they are over looked for the "name brand" horses so no one breeds them. I want to breed them to keep them as outcross horses.

How "old" is old? LOL   Do you consider Jet of Honor old breeding?  Honors A Bounding is by JOH.  The YOUNGEST horse in the 3rd generation of his pedigree was foaled in 1960.

We had an own son of rocket wrangler that died about 4 years ago. He had all the good ole stuff. Hempen, go man go, jet deck, easy jet. He was a joy to be around and we really miss him. I also have another stud I compete on that has all the good ole bloodlines. Twister jet, three Ohs, jet deck, go man go. He's one of the best horses I ever had the pleasure of riding.

I would consider Icemans bottom side "older" breeding.  His dam was a DAUGHTER of Bunny Bid.

If there were any sons still alive, the youngest would be 41yo.:)

Is this close enough?

Mine is not a stallion(he was a bad yearling!)but he is old breeding! I so wanted to leave him a stud for a while but he got downright nasty even with everyday handling! He is a great gelding and my 2015 futurity prospect!
