Has anyone fed the PowerGLO? What were your results? Did you like the feed? What kind of prices were you paying? I am looking at possibly switching to this feed. Thanks

I love ADM feed... I currently feed the 14% Patriot - pellet... and the minerals
My horses love it and look great on it... I love it b/c the price doesn't jump from week to week.
I currently pay 13.25 a bag... ( S. of Ft. Worth, TX area)

With the patriot did you feel like it kept weight on well? Is the PowerGLO that much better that it should cost quite a bit more in your opinion?

Thanks

I haven't fed the PowerGLO, but have fed the SeniorGLO and now feed PrimeGLO. I think ADM is an excellent feed. PrimeGLO makes my horses look great, fills out their topline, and I don't have to feed a ton of it to get results, which makes it very economical. I feed about 3 pounds to each horse per day, along with free choice hay. I pay about $25/bag.

Im feeding Patriot performance to all my horses; broodmares get 1/2 scoop 2x a day and coastal round bale) yearlings and non working horses are fat one one scoop 2x a day and working and running horses get 1.5 scoops 2x a day and no suppliments. All of them are round! This is my favorite feed ive fed yet. I pay $13.00- 14.25 depending on shipment price since we are so far south.  Its really a great feed and dissolves very easily when wet or messed with so its very easily digested!

I only feed ADM feeds.  When I made the switch about 4 years ago, the physical change in my horses were drastic.  I have just in the last few months added PowerGlo to my line-up for 1 horse . .  my appendix bred horse that I run.  Until I fed PowerGlo, none of the ADM products I fed had any corn/starch in them.  Since adding PGlo to his feed he has started running harder and firing.  I cannot say enough good things about ADM.  Fortunately I am luckily enough in my area to have it delivered to me every 2-3 weeks by an independent ADM distributor.  It's GREAT.!!  I believe I pay around $21-$23 per 50# bag for PowerGlo.

I had been feeding the ADM Patriot 12/10 and liked it.  I had 2 thin horses that picked up well on it, but then they changed the bag.  They said they didnt change the formula but my fat horses started dropping weight, and the 2 thin ones quit gaining.   I swapped to Triple Crown Complete and they are all gaining again.  They have been on it about 10 days and I can see a visible difference.  I have been studying the Mid South Feeds  Ener-G-Plus on a friends recommendation, its about 8.00 cheaper a bag and is an extruded pellet and her horses look awesome on it, so I am contemplating a switch to that because of pricing, but- I cant say in good faith anymore that I like the way my horses looked on  ADM feeds  :

I have switched to ADM and LOVE the powerglo, my feed store doesn't carry it but they special order it for me. My mare does great on it, good energy, awesome looking coat and overall very muscled and healthy looking! I pay I think its about $24 a bag. My older horse get the seniorglo and it helps her but all my running horses are now on powerglo.

I was going to go with the PowerGLO but I wanted lower NSC so decided on the PrimeGLO. REALLY like it so far. I even started to feed my chickens the Egg Maker by ADM. Also planning on weaning on the JuniorGLO. I really don't think you can go wrong with any ADM feeds, just pick what suits your horse the best.

Is PowerGLO a top dress or is it fed by itself?

It is a feed, not a supplement. You feed 4-8 pounds per day, depending on your horse.

My vet wanted me to put my gelding on it beings he was a bit lethargic and just wouldn't fire but the poor guy is really allergic to corn, oats, and rice bran so about half way into the first bag I had to pull him back off of it because he was coughing. I think it's a great feed and wouldn't hesitate to use it on another in the future. In the time I had him on it he did seem to have a bit more energy which was great but I obviously couldn't keep him on it. He is back on the Primeglo with the rest of mine. I paid $25 a bag for the Power and now have 4.5 bags sitting in my barn unused
