Sorry completely off topic...

To cut or not to cut my own hair.
My hubby wants me to grow my hair out. He likes it long... (It was past my butt when we got married)
I like it short... So much easier!!!

MEN!!! They all want long hair. I agree short is nice and easy. I found that if I grow mine out that I just wear it up anyway.

I want my hair long.....but not with all that maintence it comes with!!! I can barely even manage my hair now and it's just below my shoulders bahahaha.

I have layers and side swept bangs, just below shoulder length is perfect for me.

Lol, really, all men are the same, they want long flowing hair.... but don't realize all the work it takes. Plus in my case I really have thick heavy hair, so I get headaches if it is too long...
I suggest put in thort "hair styles" in google images and it will come up with a boatload of pics. Find what you like best, print off and take to your stylist. That's what I did when I wanted something else.
They can tell you if it'll work for your face, and if not they can do something similair that fits you.
Good luck, and have fun!!

how short do you want it?

can you compromise with a shoulder length style?

My boyfriend loves long, and will be very sure about liking it that way until I say something about the longer it gets the worse my ends get and my hair starts acting crazy.. he then totally agrees for me to keep it collar bone length because it looks so much healthier. I want to try short hair but my hair takes so long to grow I'm scared I'll hate it and be stuck!

I blame an aquaintance on my swift scissor work! I had borrowed a saddle from a friend to try....I had really long naturally curly (yuck ugly wave) hair that most of the time was in a bun or a pony tail. This friend is a hairdresser and wow she looked great! I went to my hair lady and told her-I don't want to be frumpy anymore and let her go! My hair is shoulder length and now I'm forced to do something with it. Some days I straighten it, some days I let the natural curl go wear a headband and add a few ringlets in it and today I have the "old fashioned" doo-smooth on top flipped up in the back. I love my hair! I have gotten more compliments about looking younger and looking nice in the last few months than I've ever had with long hair. BUT my hubby doesn't EVER say anything about my hair choices.

My hair is thick as well! And yes it is always up in a knot on the top of my head and still gives me headaches!! My mom and aunt went super short when they were about my age and have never looked back! Between kids, work, allll the animals, house work, there is no time to take care of the long hair... It is just below shoulders now and side swept bangs with layers. So ready for some kind of pixie cut.

Thanks!!!

I google short hairstyles all the time. Same pics always pop up tho... Just looking for new ideas.

Tell him to wear it ...lol..I  wish my hair was thick lol but thick and long would be hard!

I went to this site and uploaded my own picture and went from there, it was fun and while I didn't get to far from norm, it was fun to try some styles and colors without "trying" them lol

I never did anything with my hair when it was long except braid it. Maybe twice a year we would go to an event and I'd do something fancy. Just cut mine to shoulder length (but still long enough to pull back) and am loving it.

I had long hair my entire life and was blessed/cursed with naturally curly hair, so everyone always told me I couldn't have short hair. Well, my best friend/hairdresser suggested a keratin treatment to ease the curl. Then, we cut off 10 inches of my hair and I've never looked back. I always equated long hair with femininity , but I realized I was hiding behind my long hair, and now I feel more feminine than I ever have. And it's easy to care for and looks cute under a hat! I guess they call what I have a "graduated bob with bangs". The picture below is the closest I could find

I have the opposite problem.  My husband loves my hair short but I like it long.  to me long is easier I just put it in ponytail, short I have to blow-dry and style...  hahaha

My hubs loves short hair as well. I prefer longer hair. That way when I decide not to "do" it, I can just put the top in a clip and it looks nice and wavy. Short, undone hair looks like a big poofy rats nest....hahaha. I Edward Scissorhanded myself last week. Hubby is happy now. :-

My hubby likes my hair short, I like it long. I just can't have it very long because it is so thin. It starts looking very unhealthy the longer it gets. I was also cursed with just enough natural curl to make my hair annoying. I could braid it quick when it was long, but that was it unless I blow dried and straightened. I just cut my hair off above my shoulders with some short layers. This is the pic we used for inspiration. It took about a week to really get used to it and figuring out how to do it, but now it is super easy. As long as I have a hat to wear when I am outside I am good to go.

Think I am just going to do it! Pretty sure it is all coming off on the way home from work! If I don't dry and straiten it, it is a monster of friz in the humidity. During the summer I can put goop in it and make it curly on lazy days. But with colder weather coming I am not going to want to be outside with wet hair... Yep decision made. It is gone today!
