My mare is way to sensitive for my treeless saddle. I have not rode on one with a tree for the last 15yrs. I grabbed my trophies saddles she ran alot better and seem to reach more. My question is now what should I look for. My knees and hip killed me today. :(

We quit hitting barrels when I went back to a treed saddle, I just had trouble finding one that fit us both. A lot of saddles are too wide-seated for me and kill my hips. A treed saddle that fits shouldn't hurt. Good luck!

I love my Caldwells, the tree really cups the horse, I feel I ride better in it than my treeless. It is so comfortable.

This may be a great middle ground. My sibley helps my knees, hips, back tremendously and theres still a barrier between you and your horse to help with the sensitivity factor.

I rode a treeless for a while and then I got a Caldwell and I've been hooked on those for like 7 years now.
