I've narrowed these down to my top 2 pads. Both seem to have amazing quality. I just feel like CSI does more for my horse. My CSI is noticeably heavier than any of my 5 stars which did freak me out at first but the CSI seems to relieve the pressure of my saddle off my horses back and fit incredibly well and seemingly better than 5 star. So did anyone that loves 5 star try CSI first? Just wondering what everyones personal preference is between these two.

I've been so darn happy with my 5 Stars, so I never have thought to try anything else. A good friend of mine sells the CSI and wanted me to try one of these at his cost, but hey why fix something thats not broke, lol,,, so still use my 5 Stars.

I had a 5 star first and I felt it compacted down really easily. I have a high withered appendix and it seems to leave him more space and overall just fits better. Ill use my 5 star for trails and stuff but overall I prefer my CSI.

I am a huge 5 star fan. My boyfriend uses CSI pads and I haven't found a reason to switch yet. IMO they're heavy too.

I bought a 5 Star and ended up selling it. I guess I am weird but it just didn't impress me. I did the pressure test with the CSI folks and switched immediately. My horses have needed less chiro work since using this pad. Even when I sell a horse, I have had the new owners take the pad with the horse. I love them!

Can someone add Saddleright to this poll.  I'd like to see how that compares to these two.  For some reason it won't let me add it.

I like 5 stars and saddlerights. I use different pads with different saddles.

I have never tried a CSI, but saw some for sale at a horse fair and they seemed awfully thick. I personally prefer a good fitting saddle with a thinner pad, but just my preference.

CSI's DO work, they are just uber expensive for a saddle pad. I would only if I had a horse that gets a sore back constantly and always had to be adjusted at $100 a pop. THEN it would actually save you and be worth it. I can understand it for ropers.. making a lot of runs and pulling weight, but for the couple seconds of running around the barrels.. IDK.. I want one but not ready to make that purchase yet.

I have csi and 5 star, you'll be happy with either! I do prefer my csi, but the 5 stars are more in my budget
