| I am having trouble deciding on a stallion for my mare- http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/burrs+kita
I have been looking at Frenchmans Guy and Firewater Flit sons because she needs something turny crossed with her. My favorite is Firewaterontherocks but I am thinking I may choose a more up and coming stud that is cheaper since this will be her first foal. What would be your choice to cross on her? Thanks!

I'd second this. I'd also look at MP Jet to the Sun or Perks Alive. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I would recommend Firewater Finale. I have a yearling by him that is very nice and great personality to boot. He's paid into all the incentives and a few are owned by the "big shots" of barrel racing. I imagine he'll be a really well known stallion before you know it.
And on another note, if you want to sell that girl, I sure like her. I just had my Burrs First Down stallion put down a bit ago. He was a really great horse, best disposition ever. |

Location: Georgia | First Down French is my favorite FG son and he is practically the definition of turny. He would be a good bet if your looking for that. The filly in my avatar is by him. But most FG stallions will add some turn anyway. And by the way, I wouldn't go cheap just because it's her "first foal". A mare's first foal is no worse than any others she may produce. Plus, it may be the only foal you ever get from her. Make it worth it. Good luck!

She may not mean it because of what she would produce but if she had trouble foaling. I have 3 maiden mares right now, well 1 the other 2 had foals a few years ago. No way am I paying a high stud fee and AI expenses when I don't even know if they will carry to term. I bred them to my own stallion (who I very much admired) and then if all goes well will start to branch out to other higher end stallions and all the AI expenses that go with it. I just like to know I will get one healthy on the ground first :) |

Location: Missouri | I have an APHA Kitaman granddaughter that is all run. I wanted to add turn also. I bred her to Mr Jess Charger (Mr Jess Perry x Tiny Charger mare) and ended up with this baby. She is an absolute doll, and I'm hoping she has some brakes! lol! Couldn't be more pleased so far!

| Thanks everyone! I definitely want to do FWOTR after making sure she doesn't have any problems getting bred or carrying to term. I think I've narrowed down my choices to First down French, BHR Frenchies Socks, and Traffic Guy but I'm still at a loss on which one of those to pick! So many nice studs out there these days. |
