We looked all weekend & actually seen several places today but it seems really hard to find anything with 5+ acreage & a shop close to OKC area!  It looks like several areas are built up!  We thought this would be much easier task than it has been turning out to be.  Anyone have any advice or know of property for sale like neighbors, etc?  We don't need a big house, just the 2 of us & some animals.

Sorry you are having this problem.  I was in your shoes this time last year.  I can't tell you how many places I looked at.  Can you get a list of realtors in that area and look at their websites.  The realtor I had had a place they hadn't showed me but was on their website.  I asked for them to show me the place and it is the one I ended up buying.
You may have to buy a place with just the house and then build a barn.  Which I know is not something you probably want to do with winter just ahead of us.  My problem is it is hard to get anything done around here in a timely manner.
I hope you find something soon.

Thanks, we have now started to look at smaller acreage & without out buildings.  Mainly because we already went thru our list the last few days!

Good Luck! We looked for a year here in the OKC area and finally found 5 acres to rent. There are 5 acre parcels without anything on them in Piedmont.

I've got a 3 bedroom 2 bath house with a small pasture and 2 stall barn that is at Prague (east of okc) that will be available for rent after November 1st. Depending on what someone needs there are additional small pastures that are pipe and cable fenced with more barns for an additional fee. We are putting in an outdoor arena. If anyone would be interested in visiting with me about it they can email me at [email protected] and I'll get back to them with more information.
I guess I should mention I already own the place so the pastures can be rented now and if some one has a living quarters horse trailer they could plug it in. The previous owners are just occupying the house until Nov. 1.

Whoever dislikes this should at least have the gumption to attach their fake name and why they dislike this. Otherwise we will never know if it is me, Prague, or just a nice country home you dislike. Strange people which is one reason new landlords like me worry about renting to barrel racers they don't know, and that's a fact.

Finney I am on the complete opposite end of the spectrum with you politically but I agree with on this.   It was rude to dislike your offer to help find a property.

My apologies on behalf on BHW.

Well, thank you for the thought, but this isn't about me. It's about some poor soul having a hard time finding a place to hang their hat (and horse blanket). I seem to have inspired "Finney Derangement Syndrome" in a few of BHW's members for some reason, reminicent of Fox's obsession with Bengahzi (see: that blonde chippy on "The Five" tie Bengahzi to the NFL scandal) since you brought it up. It really is a nice place and doesn't resemble Hades at all, but rather than risk it, I think I'll take my chances with ropers.

Please people, just stay on track and help the lady out.

Finney -I am on of those Americans who are still and always will be outraged over Benghazi.   If it wasn't for Fox the entire tragedy would be swept under the rug by the mainstream media.

My son is one of the "Special Operations Forces" that Martin Dempsey was talking about in his speech to the senate yesterday.   The men that died in Beghazi were my sons and my sons brothers too.       Men died in Benghazi and the Obama administration including Hillary Clinton covered it up.    When you receive a dislike on your post it isn't a personal attack it is a challenge to your belief that Benghazi doesn't matter.   Of course that is just my opinion.

Finney, that was a very thoughtful gesture on your part.  Obviously, there is absolutely nothing to dislike.  I have some advice: ignore the dislikes.  It is a horrible option, in my opinion, precisely because it encourages nothing but negative....ansolutely NOTHING comes out of it.  That "dislike" option actually encourages people to just hit "dislike" rather than state their opinion.
As a matter of fact, to be honest, the best way to get rid of that horrible feature is to log on to BHW and "dislike" a bunch of posts at random.  That will render it even more useless than it already is, in my opinion.
And, for God's sakes, this has nothing to do with your political views, even if people think they are extreme left wing-progressive.  Outspoken people in general tend to attract dislikes.  Once I posted "God Bless America" and got 2 dislikes.

Bottom line: that was very nice of you.  Don't take it personal!

Finney, Ignore the dislikes...."haters" will always hate......It was very kind of you to offer your place to the OP......This would be a GREAT opportunity for BHW rid themselves of the DISLIKE button.....it serves NO purpose!

OP... are you looking for a rental or something to buy?  and need to know your exact location preference, OKC is a pretty wide area...
