Looking to purchase either a new-to-us or new GMC 2500. We have a 2008 GMC that we really like, only complaint is the small fuel tank. Supposedly the newer ones have a larger tank.
Any input?

Both my parents have 2015s and those trucks are beasts. They like them much--quieter and ride smoother. My dad puts a ridiculous amount of miles on his trucks. The 2013s still have an air filter issue that started with the 2011 models, but it only really matters if you drive in dust.

Go with the new 2015. SO much of a difference between that and the previous model. We are getting a 2015 chevy in the next few months. Outstanding truck!

What makes you say that? What changes are there between a 2013, a 2014 and 2015? I'd much rather pay for a slightly used truck but we're open to looking at new as well. Thanks!

Go for a 2015. We just purchased a 2015 GMC dually. We LOVE it! Empty going down the highway it makes 19 miles to the gallon with 3000 miles on it. Pulling our 4 horse, 14 ft short wall with 4 ft mid-tack full loaded horse trailer, it makes 8-10 driving 75-80mph. The fuel tanks are larger also. It drives like a dream. It's quieter and the ride is better than most Suburbans I've been in.

2015 released a new model for the GM trucks. Completely new exterior and interior, new technology advances. Quieter, comfier, better ride. You should go to a dealer and go look at them! There's still plenty of 2014's on the lot to look at. I would rather pay less too, but at the same time, some of the "luxuries" of the new truck are too hard to pass up. Motor/tranny still the same, I think they upgraded some suspension so the tow rating may have increased slightly. They're beautiful! If you just want a work and haul truck and don't care about the niceness or luxuries, then I agree with getting a slightly used model.
