Ok so I was bored and decided to read the directions on my fly spray bottle. I applied it as instructed and guess what? I think it actually works!

Yeah I've had horses for over 50 years and learned to read yep I said READ at the ripe age of 6. SO you would think it would of been a no brainer to READ the instructions on very EXPENSIVE fly spray.

It says to brush the hair against the growth (backwards) and the apply the spray when dry brush the hair in the direction it is growing.

I did one side of Floyds neck my normal way and the other side the way instructed. The instructed way has lasted 3 days.... WOW go figure.

I know what you mean. This could lead to reading other instructions......possibly electronics or putting together kids toys lol!

Be sure to mark the date so you can see how long it does last.

We use Pyranha.  I beleive it works better than any other we have ever used.  I haven't read the instructions (will tonight) but I do know that it says it's supposed to last 30 days.  I'm always like it barely last 30 minutes.  HA  Glad you posted this.

Well I figured someones always asking what the best fly spray is.. Thought it would be fun to see if I'm crazy or if others see the same results.

Oh my goodness, I have been complaining all summer that our fly spray hasn't been working! Two minutes after I spray them they'll have big horseflies swarming around them. I can't believe I've never read the directions before!!! Thank you for posting this

Well I feel like an idiot...I'll be trying this in the morning. I've had a mare allergic to flies for the last 4 years, and have probably been spraying it wrong...
