I just bought a 3 year old and he will be getting the loading dose of Adequan ASAP. He has perfect joints and Perfect cartlidge. I want to keep it that way for as long as possible. He is also on an oral joint supplement. In couple years when I am competing on him he will get either polyglycan or Legend before he runs.

I've never used the others because my vets in this area seem to be fans of Legend. But I had my gelding at 5 on it because he was having issues, he is the one with the pelvis fracture so of course it didn't do any good. I kept my stud on it every month these past 2 yrs. I really do think it helped.

My gelding just started showing signs last fall (cross cantering, not really tracking up behind at the lope), I had him xrayed, and he has changes in his hocks. I waited until this spring to start him on Pentosan and have noticed a huge difference. He will stay on it now during work season. I don't ride over the winter, not barrels anyways, when I do ride its Dressage at a local barn.

ETA: He's 8 now, so he was 7 when he showed signs of needing something.
